WHY ENGLAND WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP!!!!

All my friends have been givin me alot of stick cos i am really confident that we will win, they al think brazil, heres why we will, firstly we are 3rd (by most bookmakers) favourites behind Brazil and Argentina, they are both south american team, a non european team hasn't won in europ for the last 8 times!!!! this is becaus ethey can't stand the climate, we also have a solid defence, and we are spoilt for choice between 3 of the worlds best, and we have a solid keeper (finally) and one of the best strikers in the world

Id love to see it happen but there is not enough consistance at the moment and we cannot break through the knockout stages - there is always something that happens that ends up with out failure!

we were knocked out of the last world cup because of keeper problems

we have a solid keeper, and a defence that can stop the likes of ronaldinho and henry, we also have a striker who can break the defence of brazil and argentina, and we have a midfield that can get the balls through to the strikers, my only worry is that sven will do sumthin stupid like play a diamond or put beckham in the center

we have as good a chance as any one else

You can't compare England to Brazil or Argentina.

Go England, i so hope they do win it!

We have a chance, and dont say that england won't win 'cos of the past. The world cup hasn't started yet. Anyone say that Argentina can beat England, i'll just say this:

You wont win it. Every time there is a major competition, even before you are qualified, people start saying 'England will be Champions'. How many times has this happened? Once, and you still talk about it.
Eriksson hasnt got a clue about anything and the team is a mess. On paper England have the best team in the world easily but on the field they are very average

I don't wanna disappoint you, but nobody can stop Ronaldinho.
But I'd like England to win in case Spain doesn't win it.

As mentioned before, it is a clean slate when you start a fresh tournament. I think England do have what it takes to win it, but if you asked me to pick a team - it would obviously be Brazil. I find it hard to see anyone but them lifting the cup.

There are several teams capable of winning the tournament though.

I agree, i could name 5 teams that i think can win the world cup but ask me who can beat brazil and i go blank! (really bad days for brazil aside)

And dont blame the goal-keeper for the last world cup. Nobody couldnt stop the first goal.

If there is one defence in Europe which can stop Brazil, it might be France.
