Villa and Joaquin red-carded.

Another surprise was that all 3 promoted teams won.

I watched Valencia - Villarreal, Valencia was a disaster and Villarreal played a good game. Since the beginning Villarreal was the best but after the two yellow cards to Villa (one for protest and the other because he simulated a penalty) the game almost finished.

And yes really surprising that the all 3 promoted teams won. I heard that Valladolid played very well, Almeria's result was the most suprising and Murcia played a good game too.

Haha, Barca didn't score.

What's with Valencia getting players sent off. Last season i think i remember them getting 3 players sent off in one game.

Flores needs to sort his boys out, otherwise they won't b able to challenge. They've got great players (especially wingers) but when you haven't got all of your players on the field, you aren't going to win football matches.

Sevilla again impress. They really are a force to be reckoned with.

Sevilla started to score goals when Getafe were playing with only 9 players. Before that Getafe were playing well.

And the problem of Barça is that Ronaldinho is [beep!]. Moreover, started with Henry in the bench and when Rijkaard decides that Henry enters then he substitutes Messi, that was the best Barça player. Henry had a good chance and hit the post but in general Barça didn't play very well. The game remembered me the games of last seasons, when Barça players weren't motivated. I hope that this season isn't the same but they haven't started very well.

With Henry there, i think i agree that selling Ronaldinho now that we can get top money for him wouldn't be such a bad idea.

I don't consider him sh!t, but he does seem un-motivated lately and maybe a move would be good for him too.

And for all that money (at least 70mil euros) we could easily buy 3-4 excellent players.

Putrum, how was Toure today? Did he stay in position most of the time or did he attempt to make deep runs (which he likes) leaving our defenders exposed to danger from midfield?

I didn't watch the game I only listened. And Barça did a lot of problems defending, Racing had some good chances. But were playing Thuram and Oleguer and these players won't play when Puyol and Milito can play. But if Racing had these good chances then I suppose that Toure wasn't great.

Yeah Deportivo are much sh*tter now.

But still, there's no excuse for losing 3-0 to Almeria.

I hope La Liga settles their dispute with the TV distributors soon. We're already 2 games in the season and those guys still haven't reached an agreement.

Yeah, Kerzhakov missed a chance for a hat-trick. I wonder if he's going to start against Arsenal. Probably not.

Why wouldn't he start against them?

I know they have loads of good strikers, but Kerzhakov is good enough.

I had the impression Fabiano was going to be the second striker this season, or maybe even Kone.

Barca 0-0. It's getting ridiculous. I say bench Ronaldinho if necessary, free Henry and let him do what he does best.

This season won't be good I think, they play like last season. Will have to wait till there are some changes, the coach and some players.

I'm glad i didn't watch the Barca game. Not happy about missing the Sevilla one though!

I think Barca are going to struggle again this season, and i think Sevilla will be our biggest rivals for the title.

I'm not sure how Valencia will do yet, but still they aren't playing as well as they can, so they could underachieve again.

Real are losing 1-0 to Valladolid in a very good match. Valladolid have a pretty solid team this season.

EDIT: stupid defending by Valladolid and Real has now brought the game level with 3 minutes to go.

a defender panicked and kicked the ball out so Real had a corner and from that they managed to eventually beat the offside trap with 2 players and score.

And now Valladolid missed a sitter! If they were a bit more clinical they could be leading 3-1 by now.

It's over.
