Well done to the U16/2 Reds for winning the Ron Dine Cup !!!
Hatrick to one of their players and a decent halfway strike from their defence got them their goals! |

if your gunna report this you gotta use names mate otherwise they're not gunna see which hot Aussie talents will grace their shores soon enough
Michael Zamora, aged 16 scored a hattrick with a beautiful freekick, a piledriver from 12 yards and capped his hattrick with a well struck penalty which coincidentally was his 100th career goal. Narellan Rangers U16/2s went into the half-time break 3-0 up and cruising to a first ever Ron Dine Cup win. The second half started well and Narellan quickly found themselves on the backfoot with Camden Tigers pulling a goal back in the wet, England like conditions. Lady luck was back on Narellan's side when Andrew Hughes scored a goal from halfway on the volley. With the score 4-1 and the clock running down Camden pushed forward in search of goals. Narellan chose to sit back and counter attack and it soon payed off with a penalty and a red card awarded to a Camden Tigers defender who out of frustration committed a professional foul on Daniel Mimoso. A freekick was given outside the area. Zamora swung the freekick in and Mimoso was pulled down for Narellan's second penalty of the Cup Final. Andrew Hughes the previous goalscorer stepped up to take the penalty but unfortunately hooked it over the bar- Beckham style. After a solid 4-1 victory morale was high and now the Narellan Rangers Red team are now aiming for even dizzier heights! |

and can i say the Camden Tigers goal was very sloppy indeed.. free kick just on the 18yrd box.. passed it through the jumping wall and the keeper slipped in the wet, muddy conditions.

First match report....
Trial Game for Narellan U17's vs Mount Pritchard U17's. Score ??? who knows it was too many for them. First game as coach for Reagan (ALF) and first game as captain for me. We played well in different parts of the game. Opening 20 was good the score was 1-1, but a flurish of goals from Mounties dropped our teams hopes and attitudes. The defence started to weaken and our attack was all over the place. Reagan made some excellent saves and was unlucky on a couple of goals which were our defenders poor .. defence. I thought i played well, but seeing as out team doesnt even understand the simplest of football jargon i wasn't able to string anything too positive together. I set a solid foundation for an attacking play but as soon as i put someone into a gap or a good position, they would muck it up and id have to start again. Anyway im looking forward to next weeks season opener. Will see if im still captain, hopefully i will be, i can learn new things every week and in a couple of weeks i think ill be leading the team to some well earnt victories. |
