Thierry Henry - Coming Good

well ok , after a relatively quiet start to his Barcelona career Thierry Henry made his mark at the weeked with a hatrick in a 4-1 win against Levante . Is this the start of a great season for the former Arsenal legend , or was this just poor oppositions for Barcelona and will Henry struggle against better teams . Are Barca fans happy with what they have seen from Henry so far ....

I don't think so.
Henry has done nothing during this season. He scored a hattrick against a very poor team (last in La Liga) but it doesn't mean a thing.
However, I think he will improve a lot during the year/season.

It was also a [beep!] easy hat-trick.

All the goals were easy.

It's still early and the hat-trick means nothing for now.

But i do think he's going to improve as time goes by and he plays more games with the team.

Of course, i don't know what will happen when both Ronnie and Eto'o return.

Henry will come good though and he'll prove yet again why he's the best Striker on the planet.

Then the World will eat their humble pie and realise that the Gooners weren't arrogant, but actually correct.

Easy or not, it's him who had made the hat-trick. Most of the strikers scored a lot of easy goals, some of them scored also penalty kicks.

he has said in the papers he is having to get used to the way football is played in Spain , it is much slower than when he was at Arsenal and it will take a little time to adjust and settle to this style . Well whether it was against poor opposition or not a hatrick is always welcome for a striker so Henry will have got a boost from that and can only get better i feel ...

i think henry will come good for barca once he gets used to the style of football over there
he had plenty of chances and they all went begging unfortunately (against zaragoza)
but the positive thing is he had chances and eventually once he is used to the style he will take those chances
he is definitely working hard and it will pay off

Of course you will have chances if you're the center forward of a team like Barcelona...

It's the same for the forwards of teams like Real, Inter, ManU, Arsenal etc though, isn't it?

I don't know if Messi is overshadowing Henry, but we expected more from him.
Abidal and Toure are also new. Nevertheless, Abidal is probably the best left back and Toure the best holding midfielder in the liga at the moment.

Imo, Henry will keep improving if he stays fit. He knows there's a lot of competition for the forward positions in Barca (with Eto'o returning and Giovani putting in some great performances - he gave the assist for our 3rd goal) so i'm sure that the only reason he's having trouble is that he is not allowed to play more freely on the left side like in his entire Arsenal career.

You know at the start Frank used to put him in the left, and Ronnie in center. It did not work.
Yeah, you are right. There is a very tough competition there. If Etoo becomes fit, I think Henry will loose his place. Bojan and Dos Santos are phenomenal.

Not really, but nearly. I think Barcelona have more goal chances than Inter, Arsenal or even Manchester and Madrid.

He's just going to be dwarfed yet again by the mighty van Nistelrooy. We all know he felt bitter after Ruud left him in his wake in England so he's moved to Spain for another crack.

RVN is the most boring striker I know. I prefer Inzaghi or Trezeguet over him.
