There's something about the good old 3rd round draw I love - when younger it was on a par with Christmas eve, watching the names be pulled out (well, balls with numbers anyway)...the big ties (Man United v Liverpool)...the potential banana skins (Sutton United v Coventry)...the shouldn't be a problem's (Arsenal v Sheffield United)...the could be a problem's (Southampton v Spurs)...and the who gives a sh*t's (Lincoln v Grimsby Town, no offence)

Its great, but I wish they wouldn't give you a sneak preview of the numbers beforehand, the "who to look out for's"....I like to be surprised, so its fingers in the ears and "la la la-ing" for that bit.

Roll on January!! Very Happy

I love the FA Cup too. Something about it being in the heart of winter (for the early rounds at least) that i like.

People who say the FA Cup's "the best competition in the world" annoy me, but there's no domestic tornament that can beat it in my opinion.

For one game only, everyone seems on a par. When else can someone like Merythr Tydfil have a chance at beating the reigning English Champions? It's the magic of the cup.

And the fact it isn't seeded, which means you get all sorts of ties as Sparky explained..

I'd like to see someone other than the top 4 do well and have a decent run this season....Man City & Blackburn have been mentioned, but maybe West Ham, Newcastle, Pompey or Reading too.

Of course I would obviously love to see Tottenham do it, but anyone other than the usual suspects would be a good thing I like to think.

If i remember rightly didn't Watford and Blackburn both make the semi's last year? And West Ham of course made the final the year prior. So it isn't off the radar for these clubs by any means..

With the improvements made you could even forsee someone outside the top four winning the competition..

That's true Ben - I would like to see one of those teams, or anyone other than the top 4, go on and actually win the blimmin' thing for a change.

Fancy your chances this year?
