Inzaghi is the most frustrating player. I watched about 80% of his games for Juve back then and he was sooo frustrating. Juve could cut teams apart for 20mins and create magnificent chances for the wimpy little Striker and he'd just keep flopping around or stand offside.

BUT, just look at his goalscoring record. Somehow he manages to sneak in and get goals, and his box play is so intelligent that you can't deny he's a great talent. Technically and physically he's crap, but in terms of goal poaching he's one of the best. You'll laugh at him for 89mins and be in awe when he pops out of nowhere with a goal.

In saying that, he's well done and Milan are looking deader by the game.

Fresh legs need brought in and some energy with them. Drogba would be a great signing from Chelsea.

Milan are pathetic right now.

They won too much and they need a long period without any victory and full of humiliations.

Anyway else starting to agree with my prediction before the start of the season?

Remember, the one i made about Milan not even challenging for the title, and missing out on the top 3 again?

The ball hit his arm for the 1st goal in the CL final. How he can claim it I'll never know.

Yes I said he scored plenty of goals in his time so "MAximum respect to his history" but he needs at least 5 chances to get a goal.

Yes the whole team played bad yesterday but I'm not basing my views on yesterdays game...I have never rated Inzaghi.

If he played for a one of the lower teams who struggle to make chances, he would be exposed as the ass clown that he really is.

he scored two, in the final.. so tell me, why nobody is able to score like he does? he did twice the same goal, the first time in a derby, and the 2nd in the CL final. Probably it is not just luck
he isnt such a technical player, but surely is better of your pathetical orchestra players like mcdonald, burgerking and pizza hut

I would take Hesselink, McDonald, Killen and Derek Riorden all before Inzaghi. [beep!] poor. Theres a fella in my work thats around 30 stone, needs electirc wheelchair, I'd take hime before Inzaghi.

Milan were lucky to put Celtic out last year. We were denied 2 penalties but were not bitter, we'll jusst repay you's this year.

Hope you meet Liverpool in the Uefa Cup

Celtic will go further than Milan. Milan will struggle against a very athletic and physical Shakhtar. Milan will struggle in Serie A and will battle for a place in next years Uefa Cup.

Happy?

Hope it keeps you warm with happiness for a few years beacuse it'll be along time before Milan win it again. 85% of the squad will be playing in the Masters within the next 2-3 years

OK so being the most successful club in Europe means they'll definitley win it again? Clubs never decline then? Ask Ajax fans, Benfica fans, even Celtic fans. All were the best in the world at a stage and dominated league & cup and enjoyed European success and none are the best in Europe. Players leave/retire. Football changes. New clubs rise. Clubs can decline. If you read what I posted I said Milan won't win anytime soon due to the age of the squad. No matter how big or how successful they are, they need to face the facts.

Dida, Cafu, Serginho, Maldini, Emerson, Inzaghi, Ronaldo, Seedorf, Nesta....the list goes on...all in their 30's. In about 2-3 years, the majority of the squad won't be playing anymore. Therefore Milan will be needed to buy players to the standards of Nesta, Seedorf, etc to still be the best in Europe and I personally, as I said, can't see that happening.

Curiosity here, who do you support?

No it dose not mean they will win it anytime soon but its not to say they wont. I dont think much people gave them any chance of winning it last year.

But football has changed alot from the days when Ajax & co were the best around. There is alot more money involved in todays game & its one of the reasons I think Milan will still be cometing with for major trophies most season. Its also a reason its harder for teams from smaller leagues to break through. Look at Lyon for example. They cant afford to hold on to there best players & its the same for the rest of them types of teams who produce good players & as soon those players start to catch peoples attention there snapped up by a bigger team.

They can decline to a certain extent but they will bounce back. There going through patch abit like Real Madrid a few seasons ago. They had to replace the likes of Zidane, Figo, R.Carlos, Makelele etc...

I dont think Any big team from the big 3 leagues in Europe will decline the way Benfica,Celtic, Ajax ect... Atleast not anytime soon or atleast my lifetime.

Ok they do have to replace people like Cafu, Inzaghi, Maldini etc... But they had to replace people Baresi, Albertini, Rui Costa, Costacurta etc... & they did. And a team who can afford to spend 22million euro on an unproven 17 year old must have a good bit to spend. They might not replace them all straight away but of the couse of a few seasons I'm pretty sure they will.

Thats what I'm saying. Im not discrediting Milan as a club and I'm not saying they'll never win it again. I'm sure they have plenty of money but replacing a team of superstars from the past will not cost lightly. They may have spent 22m euro of Pato but they'll not be able to spend that sort of money for every player they need. It's not easy to replace 75% of your squad and expect immediate success.

I can see Milan gradually replacing these players. I don't think you'll see a sudden influx of players at the San Siro with multi million pound fees attached. They'll replace 2/3 player per season so they don't disrupt the team. Thats why I think it will be a few years before they win the CL again

I think that they can win the CL again this season. They will only concentrate on the CL because in the league they don't have a lot of chances. Then IMO they will reach at least the semifinals.

They have to concentrate on the league. Even if they don't win they'll still be looking to qualify for the CL through the league because if they don't win the CL, they'll not be in it next year. No point focusing solely on the CL because it could backfire badly

Milan Vs Empoli
