oh well ~ he's good enough for me ~ according to his coaching english records ~ lol
and he's got a weird habit not to say something bad about players ~ if they lose a match he'll just tell that they're not playing good ~ and if they win a game he'll say that everyone's playing good [he still does the same thing for city now ~ haha]
yeah ~ city seems so be better under his coaching this season for sure ^^b

Crouch is their best striker right now. I can't believe there are still (England) fans who can't see that. He's too tall and he looks ugly on the pitch, like a giraffe on E or something, but he gets the job done. And with Beckham crossing the ball it's their best chance of scoring.

And yes, they have been in a similar situation before. 5 years ago. England vs Greece. Last gasp free-kick by Beckham for the equaliser which sent them directly to the finals instead of a playoff against Ukraine.

It's almost the same now, the difference being that a defeat wouldn't lead to a playoff game.

Its back in our hands!

Steve McClaren is 'convinced' England will qualify for Euro 2008, following Russia's defeat in Israel.

England had been banking on Russia slipping up in Tel-Aviv to ensure there was still a chance of reaching next summer's finals.

And Israel's 2-1 win means England only need a draw against Croatia on Wednesday - a task which McClaren believes is within his players' capabilities.

"It will be difficult, but I am convinced we will get the result we need and we will qualify for Austria and Switzerland," he said.

Always believed

"I have said several times in the last few weeks, the campaign was not over until it was over. I always believed it would come down to the Croatia game and thankfully it has.

"I watched the match with my family at the team hotel in Watford. All the coaching staff were also in the hotel and, as you can imagine, we are all delighted qualification is back in our own hands.

"It is fantastic news for us all and I would like to pay tribute to Israel for the professional way they went about their job. They showed what a proud nation they are and they deserve a lot of praise for their efforts."

Atmosphere

McClaren is also calling on the England fans to play a role at Wembley, with a victory by two goals being enough to secure top spot in the group.

He added: "What is really important is that we get the job done on Wednesday night.

"I know we have made life difficult for ourselves by dropping points early on in the group, but we have played a lot better in the second half of the campaign, which is why I am convinced the players will do their job.

"It is back in our hands now and we really need the whole country to get right behind the team over the next few days.

"We have to get the result on the pitch on Wednesday night, while we really want the fans to generate a really big 'Wembley' atmosphere, just as they did against Russia."

well ~ consider to the goal he scored against austria ~ he's pretty good then =)
he's too tall for sure ~ but he's not ugly ~ a footballer shouldn't be judged by the face -.-+
and i don't think he's got a problem with kicking ~ just kinda in heading though ~ meh >.<

Did i say he has an ugly face? I was talking about his movement on the pitch, hence the giraffe on drugs analogy.
