I didn't see the game, but have since seen the kit Ireland were wearing - I guess it must be their new away kit? It was like a dark grey, quite unusual - I'd not seen it before...

Only watched the last 15 minutes or so in the pub. Not a penalty IMO, the challenge/pull was made outside the box but the Welsh player fell down inside it. Not that it actually matters though I suppose Rolling Eyes

Oh and Sparky the grey kit it is the 3rd. Quite nice but kind of strange to have a 3rd kit for a country but then again it's Ireland I suppose Confused Rolling Eyes

Its was an agreement with Umbro. They have the kit since they got their new white & green one's but choose not to wear it or release it as they'd be seen as money grabbing barstewards. Due to a contract between the FAI & Umbro, they had to wear all 3 kits during the qualifying campaign or face a heavy fine. So they left it until the final game.

Ahhh right.
I don't think there's anything wrong with an International team having a 3rd kit, I just thought it strange to wear it when it was not needed (plus I hadn't seen it before) but the above explains all...
