Collins sacked by Rovers

Following an internal investigation, the Shamrock Rovers FC board of directors has terminated the contract of Roddy Collins with immediate effect.

The move comes as no surprise after the club suspended Collins on Wednesday November 16.

Assistant manager Terry Eviston resigned the following day, while Alan O'Neill took the reins on a caretaker capacity.


Last Friday Dublin City defeated Rovers in the relegation/promotion playoff in what has been a miserable two weeks for the club.

i dont even know what he did wrong but Rovers are relegated so im HAPPY!!

Im glad hes gone too, I never liked Collins. He says if he was in charge against Dublin he would have kept Rovers up Rolling Eyes
