It's now time for the FA to finally grow a set of balls and sack McClaren,he's a complete joke and has no tactical gene in his entire body, why on earth did we go defensive when we pulled it back to 2-2 when we had the crowd up and Croatia on the ropes Confused

It now goes to show what a good job Sven did for England

How people can still pull Crouch down i'll never know,Bluenose i can understand because he hates anything that is Liverpool, but what on earth is he supposed to do when he has balls lumped up to his head for nearly 90 minutes, the only thing he can do is flick it on,it's Gerrard's and Lampard's job then to have the guts to get behind him for the flick ons..

we missed vital players like Terry and Ferdinand,Campbell,Lescott and especially Bridge were all lost and were quite shocking tonight,Gerrard had his worst game ever and Lampard went missing as usual in an England shirt

I honestly can't see the FA growing balls overnight just in time for their board meeting tomorrow,i think they will keep faith with McClaren, simply because i see nobody else to replace him,Mourinho is the obvious choice for us fans but he speaks his mind way too much for the the FA's liking because they're all pussies, that's the only reason the legendary Brian Clough was never given the England job even though he was definitely good enough for the job Rolling Eyes

Ah well i'll have to find something else to do in June next year now

I agree 100%....McLaren is a disgrace....what kind of stupid formation is a 4-5-1....when have England played that?

The FA should do what they do best.....FINE the manager for not making the team win....just like they always fine Chelsea for "failing to control their players".....I doubt they will EVER fine Man U for anything.

McLaren is a joke, end of. Terrible management but wasnt helped by terrible performances by the players.

He doesnt drop Robinson thru out his whole terrible spell and now that hes finally getting his form and confidence back he drops him for someone who hasnt played a full international into the biggest game of Englands recent times.

He better not recall Robbo now, I want him out of the England firing line. Carson could get ruined by this for his club too.

Atleast Spurs England players will get a rest while this competitions on, fresh for the start of the next season. Very Happy

I'd have money on it that McClaren is gone by the morning.

Failed to do his job.

Thank you...bye bye.

Miki, I'm English, but also a long term Croat fan.

can i point out the irony of this situation, the fa didn't want hiddink so they went with mcClaren.
and now hiddink's russia is going to austria and swizerland and england is staying home.
it's time to tell it how it is, at this moment england doesn't have good enough coaches last year's top teams in the premiership were all foreign coaches.

We completely got what we fully deserved.

Had we scraped through it would have only succeeded in conveniently covering up what a distasterous campaign this has been from start to finish.

Congratulations Croatia, you look a formidable side and your confidence can only grow.

The England hierarchy in the FA, Steve McClaren and all the players can only hang their heads in shame - no excuses, they are paid more than a Kings ransom to perform and wear the shirt with pride.

Carson dropped a clanger okay, but he shouldn't be singled out. The English press will be looking for a scapegoat and unfortunately it will be him until the next one comes along. His save in the second hald was world class.

Gerard? I just don't know, I really don't. We all know he is more than capable of passing the ball over the first player in front of him, as are most Sunday league pub team players. But not last night.

The second half was an improvement and Beckham again showed his worth - remember Macca unceremoniously dropping him from his first squad...then having to grovel back....the whole campaign has been an absolute farce from start to finish, and the only silver lining will surely be the inevitable departure of the Manager.

I'd like to thank, and also apologise to Israel - despite you putting the outcome into our own hands, we were not able to show an ounce of the fight or spirit you showed v Russia.

Here's to a good EURO '08 next summer - I hate to say it, but it can only be for the better without our shamble of [beep!] on display.

So hard to take. A New Manager is needed and we can't afford to just look at English manager.Jose or Big Phill both have the quallities to do the job. I thought Carson was abismall last night but i wouldn't put the blame on any1, the team itself isnt good enough

[quote="Johaldo8"] ... and realise that our players aren't as good as what we think they are. Sven did a great job with the mediocrity he was working with. /quote]

"Mediocrity" may be too tough but, indeed, half of those whom we saw yesterday are not the guys for a top team. Those who are were on the bench.
