Blimey, i didn't realise Trez was on 10.

Inter are already 9 points ahead of Milan. No question about who's the best team in town now is there?

Fiorentina are really doing well also, and i think they could finish ahead of Milan and make the Champions League. After all, if it wasn't for there greater point deduction last season, wouldn't they have finished ahead of Milan?

that's not true
milan when plays in serie a in not the same as when he plays in europe
and there are 6 or 7 point lost for some scandalous referee in palermo, in siena, against empoli, against torino
milan in a competion short like champions can stay with the cousins

my predictions

Genoa - Roma x
Inter - Atalanta 1
Cagliari - Milan 2 (i hope Laughing )
Empoli - Torino 1
Lazio - Parma x
Livorno - Sampdoria x
Napoli - Catania 1
Reggina - Fiorentina 2
Udinese - Siena 1
Juventus - Palermo x

Don't tell me that you agree with Galliani about all this mistakes by the refs.. Milan's mananagement has always lacked of style but recently Galliani has made of them a joke. I mena by putting on the official site of the club champion of Europe a list of doubtuful decisions of the refs is ridiculous

My predictions
Genoa - Roma 1-1
Inter - Atalanta 3-0
Cagliari - Milan 2-1
Empoli - Torino 1-1
Lazio - Parma 1-1
Livorno - Sampdoria 2-3
Napoli - Catania 2-0
Reggina - Fiorentina 1-2
Udinese - Siena 2-1
Juventus - Palermo 2-2

that's right...in Champions League milan can do very well, but in the national league we still have some problems Confused inter in italy is now almost the best team, but in europe it doesn't play well....anche i think the european league is more difficult than the serie A...

GOBati, i agree with you...complaining on refs' mistakes is really a lack of style; i think the team should be stronger than all those things, stronger than mistakes and bad luck...

this is pathetic. i really don't see how anyone can still say Milan are better than Inter. So what, Inter aren't great in Europe. Last season they did go out to Valencia who went 9 games without defeat, and were easily one of the best teams in the group stages.

Milan had a REALLY, REALLY easy group stage (the easiest in fact). They got the second easiest draw in the first knock out round against Celtic (which they nearly lost). Against Bayern they played well, but Bayern last season certainly aren't the team they are now, or have been through out the last decade... the only finished 4th in their league for God sake! Milan were awesome against Man Utd though, but against Liverpool didn't play well, but were lucky enough to get a fluke first half goal. Over all, Milan only played 3 top teams, and only really played well in a handful of games.

If you think that makes up for Inter finishing over 30 points ahead of them, smashing the previous record points total, and going a year without a single defeat, then you're very much mistaken.

Milan aren't even close to Inter.

Nah, your not pathetic, i just think it's because most people ignore Milan's pathetic league form because they are CL champions, or are either Milan fans, and therefore won't admit that they're the inferior team at the San Siro.

Well I don't know what happen in the mind of Milan's players when they plays in Europe but I'm quite sure that they would beat Inter in the CL. For the league Milan probably don't have the same number of quality players that Inter have and often loses the focus. But if you pick the starting 11 of the two teams there's not a huge difference as there's no big difference between this two and Roma. The problem of Roma and Milan is that they both plays as team (even if they have several players that can score in every moment of the match like Totti, Kaka, Mancini, Seedorf) and need more players to play well to win the match, Inter is a more physical team based on the qualities of the single player more than on the choral action of the team, so for them is easier to win the match because they've more ways to score (but mainly is something invented by Ibra or a cross by Figo on the head of someone).

So imho isn't that easy to say Inter is by far better than Milan..

Milan & Inters squad are both pretty even the difference is Most of Milans squad is very old & injured alot.

I do think Milans sole problem tho is there strikers. Gilardino has been usless & Inzaghi is past it. There relying alot on Ronaldo now to the business for them & they'll hope he can stay fit for the rest of the season. Milan havent been playing as bad as there league posistion shows. They always create alot of chances but the strikers have been usless. I do think they'll improve once Ronaldo returns I know he's only one player but he is a difference maker.

I completely disagree. I don't think Milan's squad is even close to Inter's. There best 11 isn't far off, but the squad isn't close. Inter have so many amazing players, half of their bench could be classed as world class. The strength they have in depth is amazing. Mourinho described their squad as ''The best in the world''.

Milan have a terrible goal keeper, and lack fire-power up front. Whereas Inter have the best selection of strikers in the world with Ibrahimovic, Suazo, Crespo, Adriano and Cruz. And in goal they have a much, much better goal keeper than Dida in Cesar.

Just look at that for a squad. Amazing. Their midfield and defence has a lot more strength in dpeth than Milan's as well.

What a win by Roma! Last minute goal by Panucci that give the win to his team again after scoring vs Scotland. Match played quite bad by Roma, very important result in the minds of the players I think Smile

Inter - Atalanta 2-1

Inter played a good start but then slowed down a bit. What an amazing goal by Atalanta. Forgot the name of the player who scored it, but what a goal. Inzaghi was red carded after that awkward collision with Cesar. Overall it was an ok match, though not great.

inter goals were ridiculous, as ever
on the first the atalanta goalkeeper has been terrible ( last period inter scores 70% of goals by goalkeepers errors), and the second cruz made a foul before scoring
luck, as ever, but one day will finish

Ronaldo at his best is like all of them rolled into one.

Well player for player I think Inter have a stronger squad but I think Milans starting 11 player for player is better.

I suppose you could argue Kaka has been very poor in Serie A compared to Stankovic but Stankovic hasnt had the same level of performance that he usaully has week in week out against stronger teams in the CL which is a higher level of football against better teams than Kaka has.

Gattuso vs Viera. I think most people consider Gattuso to be the best defence midfielder in the world right now. Although I've had my doubts about him latley. I think Viera isnt what he used to be but still very good.

Pirlo when he's at his best is amazing but dosent do it on a regular basis but he's a big game player. I don't really think you can compare him to any of Inters players tho.

Nesta is better than all of Inters CB's no doubt about it. Zanetti is better than all of Milan's full backs He's the best full back since Maldini. Although I think Serginho is possibly the best attacking full back in the world he lacks big time in defence.

Cambiasso is a top player it took him a while to get back to his best after coming back from injury last year but he's a top player with a great attitude.

Inzaghi is nothing no more & Gilardino has been usless. I've seen Pato play a few times but he looks he could be a very good player from what I've seen. He has good balance, good first touch, has pace, good header & shot.

Ibrahomovic is over-rated.

if the result was 2-2 no one could speak
the worst italian referee, banti, yesterday was on his levels, the goal of cruz was foul, and for a killer's foul manfredini was only booked
man of the match julio cesar for fc inculati and floccari for atalanta

Ibrahimovic is under-rated in my opinion. The guy is outstanding, but never gets mentioned up there with Messi, Ronaldo, Droba etc. Him and Totti are amazing, and both deserved to be there with the world player of the year nominees.

I disagree with the Milan vs. Inter starting 11 comparisons as well. Milan lack big time up front and in goal. Inter don't really have any weakness. Oh and Materazzi is back now as well.
