I've just noticed "Remi Garde" on the side of the coach - he was an excellent utility player when Arsene Wenger first took over at Arsenal (men) and brought him in Wink

Remi Garde is in the men's coaching staff. Still in contact with Arsene as Lyon and Arsenal have an excellent working relationship.

I must say I was hoping for the game to be abandoned Sad

I'm starting to get worried - when I went in the bloke said "Concession is it? after I showed my season tic, and I only paid £1

I was a bit knackered after the long drive, but.....

Anyway - here's a pic of their coach (the bus, not the manager Laughing)

I also took a pic of what was written on the side - but I'm not a good photographer - it said "L'equipe" (I think) above the names there:

It was the men's bus. Laughing

I thought it must have been - but they must have let the ladies use it for that game.

I didn't notice the men watching the game anyway Very Happy

By looking at those pictures above, I'm guessing the Arsenal Ladies don't get the privilege to play at Emrites?

(Sorry for my noobness, I don't/can't really follow womens football)

They normally play home games at Borehamwood FC - the Emirates is far too big to get any atmosphere with the normal attendances, even if it was available.

But they played one home league game at the Emirates at the end of last season - supposedly only for family and friends to be allowed to watch, for various rules and restrictions, but they eventually allowed season tic holders to go and take a friend if they wanted.

It was nice for the players to get a chance to play there, Wink

That was the penultimate league game of the season - the last game was played at the Arsenal training ground, and the same rules regarding tickets applied.

Apparently Borehamwood FC relaid their pitch, so the girls had to find somewhere else to play.

This happens with other teams too, as most play at the grounds of minor league (men's) teams, and arrangements for games are at their discretion.

If you have a chance to read through all the posts here, you can see what some members here who managed to go had to say about what they thought about those games - Emirates and training ground Wink

Did they get to play at Highbury when that was available?

P.S. I'll read the rest of this thread someday while I'm at work and need something to do to pass the time. LOL

But look at the Arsenal Ladies' thread here

This one is just for UEFA comp, and we're out Sad

I think they played once at Highbury v Fulham where they clinched the league title. The men's team where there supporting them. I Sol Campbell cheering them on.
