I'm really looking forward to the Belarus game even though it means a 6:40am train ! I hope england qualify as I'd love to go to the european championships again and have a better experience.

Spot on Roberts
Goals by Alex Scott and Kelly in first half, and Eni and Alex in second half, with Alex getting player of the match award. A Walkover by England - Rachel Brown only had to deal with backpasses. Attendance 8,400 approx (I forget exactly). I was hoping to post a few nice piccies here - but mine were pretty well all rubbish. This is about the best I got: |

I discovered very late last night that Wales were playing Switzerland at Rhyl yesterday - just half an hour or so away.
And missed it And went all the way to Walsall to see England the day before |

Group 4
Sun 28th Oct Germany 3 Belgium 0 Wales 0 Switzerland 2 Sad to have missed Wales's game despite the loss. Apparently Jayne Ludlow was not her usual superior best, and Cheryl Foster was still apparently suffering from effects of recent attack of tonsilitis. But would have liked to have taken (or attempted to take) a pic of Ramona Bachmann being sent off (for 2 yellows) after all the problems she caused Arsenal in UEFA final And Ron could have made up for his lack of pics on Saturday at England game. The FAW might even have given us bibs like the last time we went there to a game there |

Today England beat Spain 1-0 at Shrewsbury with a goal from player of the match Kaz Carney (isn't it funny how the winners of that title are often scorers?
If Spain had played earlier like they did towards the end, the result might have been different, coming close when a shot hit the woodwork. Here's one of my action photos of the game:
And the highlights didn't get onto SSNews until 11.56pm I have now listened to the same report (on SSNews) 3 times now - and I'm convinced he said "In front of a crowd of nearly 80,000" At Shrewsbury You can't get that many people in the town, let alone the footie ground |

They had the highest crowd for a while (a bit below 80,000
Maybe England men going out might be a good thing. |
