This match is on later this evening on ITV4. Program begins at 7:00 and kickoff is at 7:45.

It also looks like you'll be able to see it on ITV.com here, which is nice.

Here's some team news form the Spurs webby:

Spurs.co.uk wrote:
Younes Kaboul and Jermain Defoe are out of Thursday night's UEFA Cup clash against Aalborg at the Lane.

Head Coach Juande Ramos reported this afternoon that defender Younes is struggling with a groin problem and striker Jermain suffering from illness.

Otherwise, the same players remain out - all defenders - in Ledley King, Benoit Assou-Ekotto (both knee injuries), Anthony Gardner and Ricardo Rocha (both ankle).

We're currently second in our group behind Anderlecht but two of the three teams below us (Getafe and AaB) have played a game less. Considering we still need to play Anderlecht away, tonights game is surely a must-win encounter. If I've worked it out correctly, then a win this evening will leave our fate in our own hands, whereas a loss would mean that we'd have to rely on other results.

I love the UEFA Cup and desperately want us to do well in it again this year so this is a massive game in my opinion. Can't wait. Very Happy

What a bloody shambles. If we play like this in the second half then we don't deserve to make it out of the group stages. A long range effort in the second minute and a tap-in towards the end of the half mean we're 2-0 down.
One of the main problems has been our inability to maintain possession; we're giving the ball away needlessly, even when we're not really under pressure. Even so, there's no getting away from the fact that our defence is hopeless. For a start, it's not good to have a RB playing at CB, but the crux of the matter is that Dawson isn't good enough to be able to play the role of the commanding figure at the back. He was fantastic alongside King but this season he's just not cutting it.
After a terrible start we seemed to be settling into the game but their second goal was a real setback. After watching the match the other day against the Hammers, I'm getting the feeling that Ramos will try something completely unorthodox which will baffle our own players as much as it will the opposition. All or nothing, tally-ho kind of stuff. Well, it can go either way I suppose but Aalborg are much better than I gave them credit for and I wouldn't be surprised if they were to punish us further.
The only excuse and only real positive I can cling to is the fact that Keane was through one-on-one when the score was still 1-0, and he was wrongly judged to be offside. It could've been a different half, but I really shouldn't be needing to resort to such desperate measures to try and make myself feel better about our performance.

Ah well, second half - here we go... Smile

1-2.

Bottletop scores. You could have got about 4/1 on a Tottenham win.

Now that's not nice. We're not fickle! Smile If you'd actually watched the first half Ronny, you'd know that I had every right to be a little frustrated.

Well, in the end Ramos did try something unusual as I expected and it paid off big-time. It's clear to see that he's far more tactically astute than Jol and that saved us this evening after an awful first half. A RB came off for a striker and Zokora was told to sit in the area in front of Dawson to add some protection. Not obvious moves by any means but clever ones and they did the job.
The whole spirit of the team was different in the second half; I would love to know who did most of the talking at half time out of Ramos and Poyet - it'd be interesting to be a fly on the wall. We had better possession throughout the second half and kept the ball much better and once we scored our first goal Aalborg were always on the back foot. Once we got in front they didn't really look like coming back.
Every player in a Spurs shirt was much better in the second half and it was great to see Ramos do what he was brought in to do: make the correct decisions at crucial times and show some tactical awareness.
Not a fantastic performance on the whole though and we need to do much better if we want to continue to progress to the latter stages of the competition. We were a bit fortunate today but got there in the end.

I heart Ramos. Very Happy

I have missed this game as I needed sleep and havent fully caught up on it yet, only a couple of matcbh reports etc but it sounds like Ramos really switched things round after a shambolic first half and got us the win.

3-2 and we are on our way to the next stages of the UEFA Cup IMO, lets get in there!

Well Duh! Of course they wont be happy and its pretty obvious they were not happy at being 0-2 down to a pretty much nobody team, at home.
Match is played over 90 mins, not 45.

They must have amnesia and think Jol is still in charge. Laughing

No need to start booing the new guy already. Compared to the Jol, he has worked wonders. Obviously, last night, is a good example of that.

Brilliant turnaround by Spurs after a truly shocking 1st half display.

It won't happen every time we're in a losing situation, but I was very satisfied with the way Ramos adapted to the events. Of course you can't guarantee the result would change but the team actually played a lot better after the break. I read in a few articles that Ramos was strictly a 4-4-2 man but already I've seen him try several different formations.

I said it at the time and I'll say it again: the weekend when Spurs sacked Jol and brought in Ramos was an absolute masterstroke, one of the best in our recent history. He is a very very good manager and we're in capable hands.

I like the approach he's taken with regard to the January transfer window. Most managers (one fat one in particular) would be saying "I need more money to spend" like a spoilt little child, but Ramos is prepared to stick with the squad and make them perform even better.

Mistakes will be made along the way but we're definitely onto the right path, my fellow Yiddos Very Happy
