Rachel Brown believes now is the time for Everton Ladies to win a trophy.

The Blues take on Watford on Sunday in the semi-final of the League Cup after beating Barnet, West Ham and Sunderland in the previous rounds.

Mo Marley’s side are yet to add silverware to their trophy cabinet but the England goalkeeper is confident Everton can get a result against the Hornets and progress to the final to face either Liverpool or Arsenal.

“It is time that we won silverware or certainly a team other than Arsenal got some silverware,” she exclusively told EvertonTV.

“We have put ourselves in a really good position and we have had quite convincing wins over the teams in the build up to the semi-final.

“I think we are confident that we can come away with a result and certainly now it is highly possible that we have got the opportunity to go out there and win the League Cup.”

The Blues have already recorded a 3-0 victory over Watford this season but Brown concedes it will be a tough contest.

“The game against Watford is going to be tough,” she said.

“Watford are our first Premier League opposition in the competition. I have never played Watford before but I am sure we will know all the information we need to know come game time.”

She is right , Everton do have a good team and they may win a cup this season. The League is nearly gone already so the FA or League Cup are the easiest trophy to be won by Everton.

Arsenal won't give their trophy up without a fight. I cannot comment on how Everton are playing this season having not seen them , but I have heard good things about them. It will be a tough game against Watford , but I think Everton will just edge it.

I also want an Arsenal Everton final because an Arsenal Watford would be likely to be one sided.

Sky used to show it, I remember watching a Charlton vs ? with Emma Coss scoring the winning an only goal at Barnet FC a few years ago.

I think Everton are the second best team - they are excellent.

I've seen them quite a few times, but Arsenal do better, and usually win.

When I started watching women's footie, Charlton seemed a close second to Arsenal.

It's a shame that Charlton pulled the rug from under their women's team.

Personally, I hope Charlton men get relegated - I hope you don't think that is a nasty attitude - but it would serve the club right

I'm with ya there. The women's side shouldn't of suffered because of the men's incompetence to stay up.
