He's too tall......i think he would be better as a beacon to warn low flying planes!

I reckon its something to do with behind the scences stuff,maybe Rafa doesnt like Crouch with Abigail,the same way Fergie was with Beckham over posh.

or maybe he just can't compete with Torres, Voronin and Kuyt for that first team place?

But he rips all three to shreds when regarding finishing - they can't compete with him, not the otherway around.

You'd think something was up, but then why did Benitez say he was involved in his plans and avoid selling him this summer to not use him? Kuyt and Voronin are too similar and so one of them should be the fourth choice striker. Torres, Crouch and either of the two all offer different things.

Look at him against Blackburn and Arsenal, he had such positive affects on those games. He brings players in and scores; he wasn't our leading goalscorer last year for nothing.



How can you be too tall? Assuming the first bit is actually serious, that is.

I don't think he's good with Torres. I'd have Torres or Crouch with Voronin or Kuyt, not either pair played together.

Why?

Although I agree he's not really grabbed his starting chances with both hands, but then compare it to the amount of starts Kuyt has had and it's far inferior.

Kuyt should be a midfielder...99% of the time he's crossing the ball into the box...the guy's a great player no question about it...but as a striker he's junk.

Crouch should partner Torres more frequently.
