Amelia wants Roma move |

Livorno’s goalkeeper, Marco Amelia, has never forgotten his past in the Roma youth sector, and hopes one day to be able to play once again in the Capital. Speaking to Sky, he said: "My aim is to one day play with Roma wearing the no.1 shirt, no one can change my mind. If it will happen in later years and the solution is to go there for free, I’ll go for free. It is a personal matter ".
"If Doni will renew his contract I'd come back to challenge for his spot" |

Agent: Roma-Fan Amelia Could Move To Lazio
Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia could be set for a shock move to Lazio, according to his agent Carlo Pallavicino. Amelia has been a lifelong Roma supporter and grew up in the Giallorossi youth system. Since moving to Livorno in 2001, Amelia has since established himself as one of the top shot-stoppers in Serie A. A member of the Azzurri’s World Cup- winning squad in Germany last summer, Amelia has never hidden his desire to return to Rome one day. This wish could come true, however not with his beloved Roma, but with bitter local-enemies Lazio. “Having represented Marco for two years, I can confirm that there has never been any contact with Roma,” Pallavicino revealed on Unico Grande Amore. “Talks for Amelia seem to go on for an eternity. Negotiations with Lokomotiv Moscow went on for months and after so much talk there was no conclusion. “There have been rumours that Amelia could be in Lazio’s sights as they are looking to resolve their goalkeeper problem, but at the moment there have still been no concrete offers.” Lazio are in desperate need of a goalkeeper as their current first-choice ‘keeper is 43-year-old Marco Ballotta, with the only alternative Nestor Muslera disappointing when given the chance. |
