Lippi: "Inter Are Invincible" |
|
The Nerazzurri have had a sensational first-half of the season and are still unbeaten in Serie A, with 12 wins and four draws from their 16 games played.
During this time they have conceded a miserly eight goals, have scored more than any other team, and are seven points clear of Roma at the top of the table. “At this moment Inter are invincible,” said 2006 World Cup-winning boss Lippi. “Inter are dominating because now they are a squad. Everyone is important and no one is indispensable. When the players enter the field they are smiling – merit must go to Mancini.” Lippi, who had an unsuccessful spell in charge of Inter in 1999, also spoke about Inter superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The giant Swede has been in sensational form this term, and has already scored 14 goals in all competitions. “Ibrahimovic? He reminds me of [Marco] Van Basten,” Lippi stated. “However if he wants to reach the levels of the Dutchman he needs to score more. Certainly he is a player who puts on a show.” Ibrahimovic will be hoping to put on another fine spectacle this weekend when Inter play Milan in the much-anticipated Derby. |

If they are playing their best i don't think any team in Europe can beat them.
And Ibra for me is one of those special players, i would love to see him in EPL. |
