Don't think that Mourinho comes because Cruyff doesn't like him and Cruyff's advices are important for our stupid president. I think that will be Van Basten or Valverde (from Espanyol).

I wouldn't mind trying someone like Valverde, but i don't think Van Basten would work.

To be honest, i wouldn't want Mourinho either.

I'd love to see Lippi have a go, but i doubt that'll happen.

I didnt think Barca & Espagnol had the best of relationships though..would the fans be happy with their boss taking over?

I missed the game because of a christening & meal afterwards but doesnt sound like it was much of a game anyway. real are really pulling away at the top now

Tell you's what, we'll swap. We take Rijkaard, you take Strachan. Everyone's happy....

I agree Lippi could be a good option but don't see it happening.

Yes Barça and Espanyol relationships are bad but I'm sure that if Barça really want Valverde will sign him, perhaps in his contract there is a clause to leave the club if a big club wants to sign him or paying some money he can leave the club.

I think that where Rijkaard will go is to Milan in the next years.

The best team won the game. Casillas and Pepe had a good game. The beast did his part.
When FR put Marquez in the CB instead of Puyol, I knew a goal will come from there.
Madrid has a pretty good side. Raul you can order your favorite sam miguels to celebrate the title again Crying or Very sad
I would love to see Mourinho at Barcelona, but it is unlikely to happen.

Recorded this game last night to watch today, wasnt the best classico ive ever seen although it opened up a bit near the end.

Barca were poor IMO, just got nothing going as a team, Ronnie and Etoo are both trying to win the game by themselves when they should lay it off to a teammate. Henry for Ronaldinho was the substitution the game was crying out for IMO, Rijkaard should have done it as early as halftime.

So is this the end for Rijkaard?

I think none of the teams made their best football but Real Madrid defended quite well (which is very strange). Pepe was incredible and Casillas made a couple of nice savings, although he didn't have a lot of work to do to be honest.
7 points ahead, but we shouldn't relax, we were 11 points ahead of Valencia 3 or 4 years ago and then they won La Liga and Queiroz was sacked Confused

I hope that is the end of Rijkaard, of some players and perhaps of the president too.

You can't compare european league with south american leagues. First of all because european clubs have more money and then try to sign the best players of different countries. And in Europe there is the Europe Union and a club can have all the players from the Europe Union that want.

That´s wot im talkin about with money u can buy whatever u want but u cant buy love... Wink however when the toyota cup was played money didnt matter south americans teams beat europeans almost always with balls n love for the team now we got the problem players r sold to young to the manager who fills their head of [beep!] n stuff. And the guy who say im a racist im not we got many africans who played in Nacional too as webo, n-kong, dely valdes etc uruguayans as well n we support them as the other ones im just trying to explain somethin obvious the love of the game not the money in it.
That´s why when u got the chance to demostrate u got the best football in the world (in the world cup) u disappoint everyone there as always not winning the world cup. Laughing

I don't care who wins the World Cup mate, I'm only a Barça fan and want that they win. Barça have some catalan players and players coming from the youth teams like Valdes, Puyol, Xavi, Messi, Iniesta, Bojan Krkic, Oleguer, Giovanni dos Santos and Jorquera but to win titles like La Liga and Champions League it isn't enough. The money is to spend in the best players. And if your club had money then would do the same and you would be happy seeing playing Messi or Kaka in your team but the reality is that doesn't have money and then you criticize the others clubs that are rich and spend their money.

Well somethings got to give, theres is quite obviously something wrong in that dressing room at the moment.

They have the most talented group of players ever assembled by a club side IMO and deserve a manager who can get them back into a cohesive unit with only one thing on their mind.

Mourinho is that man.

I haven't read anything about that it's done. There is a problem and is that Cruyff wants Van Basten or Valverde and Cruyff's advices are important for the Barça's president.

El Clasico - Barcelona V Real Madrid
