Giggsy and Howard sign new deals

Tim Howard and Ryan Giggs have signed new two year deals with Man Utd.
Ryan Giggs future had been doubt following rumours that Sir Alex Ferguson was only prepared to offer a one year deal but now he's signed a new two year deal and he is sure he will finish his career at the Old Trafford club.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "Ryan has been a fantastic servant and it is comforting to know that he will be here for another three years, possibly ending his career at United.

"To think Ryan joined as a 13-year-old boy - and to be at a club for 20 years is unique in this era."
"Tim is a young, gifted goalkeeper who is progressing all the time and needs experience playing in our league.

"This extended contract gives Tim the opportunity to progress in his career."

Giggs - deserves it and its great news for Man U.

Howard - lol, hes worth 20 conceeded goals a season!

Yeh Giggs a great player and deserves it, love to see him finish off at Ninian Park though

howard one for the future in my books, but lets wait and see.

Good, Giggs wasn't going anywhere, Howard is promising, not great but decent. We can play him next season then get Casillas on a free.

Im surprised about Howard but happy about Giggs. hes been at Utd for nearly 15 years and made over 600 appearences so hopefully he will carry on for another few years.

oh come on, Giggs along with Scholes and Keano needs replacing, Giggs was playing for a contract, now he's got it he'll be back to his usual half arsed self, he can't cross the street never mind a ball, his hit and hope crosses are poor and makes Ronaldo (whose crossing has come on recently) look like Beckham. he won't get back to defend either, when united were 1-0 up at OT against the ARSE he never got back to defend, which is why he was pulled off and Saha brought on. i don't hate him but he's overrated and we can get better.

as for Tim, i have sympathy for him, he was playing well, he made a few mistakes and was instantly dropped, which shot is confidence after a very good first season, and he's been nervous when he's been given chances.
