This will probably be boring after the last encounter of 5-3, what with the anticipation because of it.

Team:

-----------------------Crouch---------Babel-----------------------

--------Kewell--------Alonso---------Leiva---------Pennant------

---------Riise---------Agger-------Carragher-------Finnan------

-------------------------------Itandje--------------------------------

Subs: Martin, Sissoko, Benayoun, Voronin, Kuyt.

That's a reasonably strong side, as i expect Rafa to go with due to the exit to Burnley in his first FA Cup match and near-exit to Luton two years ago. Plus this is our most viable chances for silverware.

We're without Gerrard, Arbeloa (both with calf injuries (you'd of thought they could've been more creative)) and Aurelio (hamstring) so that above is our best bar Mascherano, Torres and perhaps Benayoun and Kuyt.

Xabi and Lucas will work well in the middle to retain the ball and tire them out, whilst Crouch is fresh from his suspension.

Pennant, Finnan and Agger are all returning but should be able to cope.. or at least the first two will. Agger i'm not sure if he's ready or not, and if he isn't then i would select Hobbs to play.

It'll be good to see Babel try and sell himself for the striker's position, and we'll again get to see Itandje pit his wits for the first team (him being the one likely inclusion, considering Rafa even rested Reina for the Arsenal match last season).

In short, that should be able to win comfortably, although in our hit-and-miss form i wouldn't put anything past us tomorrow.

Let's just beat them (i'll predict 2-0; Crouch and Alonso), avoid embarrassment and secure our traditional draw against a big side that we'll inevitably receive.

Im pretty sure that David Martin is on loan at Accrington Stanley, and thus cannot be included in the squad.

Also I would give Jack Hobbs a start alongside Daniel Agger. Insua and Leiva should start as well.
I know that Luton should not be taken lightly, but I would be tempted to stick Krisztian Nemeth as well, given his phenomenal start to his Liverpool (reserves) career...

Same here, I reckon 3-1 Liverpool too.

I'm going to this, cheering on the local lads, but I'm not expecting a repeat of a couple of years back.

I'd love to see Insua play, but i'd be a little wary of having a defence fielding all of him, Agger and Hobbs. It's asking for trouble.

Nemeth on the bench couldn't do much harm - unless we lose. (And then all hell breaks lose with the Liverpool 'fans' calling for Rafa's head)

Can't be as bad as it is already.
But Agger and Hobbs would/should be more than enough to cope with Luton. They know that the FA Cup is one of two trophies that we have left to play for, and I'm sure the squad as a whole will not let their guard slip.

I thought the match was going to be on MOTD live tomorrow. Thats what thay said when it was announced, but for some reason, Stoke - Newcastle is more likely to draw in the bigger viewing audiences...

Liverpool are stingy. Can't even do one little thing for a little club that needs a little help. For this reason and this reason only. I'll be rooting for Luton.

Reds won't donate receipts to troubled Luton

Luton manager Kevin Blackwell has revealed the club's administrators have made an appeal to Liverpool to donate their share of the gate receipts from their FA Cup third round clash.

The cash-strapped League One side were docked 10 points for going into administration in November and face going out of business if new investment is not found soon.

Newspaper reports claim that Liverpool, who visit Kenilworth Road on Sunday, have snubbed the plea for help but neither club have given details of the financial arrangements for the match.

Blackwell said: 'The administrator asked Liverpool about donating their share of the gate money.

'They have probably said `we have to pay players £100,000 a week. You must be joking, otherwise we will be like you'.

'You just have to accept it. There are people in life who have got a Rolls Royce while some people have a Mini. We are Mini drivers.'

Being brutally honest, Luton shouldn't be begging other clubs for handouts. We (speaking as a local lad now) got ourselves into this mess so it's not Liverpool's problem. No doubt fans of other big clubs will be taking a pot shot at Liverpool for acting stingy but at the end of the day Luton should be grateful that they drew Liverpool in the FA Cup. It's Luton fault for getting into this predicament.

Of course, I hope Luton batter them tomorrow but more importantly I hope Luton manage to find a new investor. The club needs to be saved.

Get off your high horse

We already donated to Wrexham this season, so every club should come to us for a donation? Smile

Thats the positive thing about losing/drawing to a small club

with all the money in the prem, kind of sorry to see a club like luton with its problems

heard on the bbc that the players are on 170-400 a week Confused

Bot at the moment they arent, the club cant afford to pay them so the players havent been paid in weeks.

THis is why they asked Liverpool to forego their share of the gate receipts (about 150k i think) but Liverpool declined.

Luton's financial problems are of their own doing.

they deserve to suffer for their blatant disregard for the rules.

Cheating scum
