O MY GOD!!! I really have no idea where to start on this one!!!!

I have to say, i think Curry will be getting a call from Mr Coppello. Cos there was no player in the Liverpool colours, apart from Carragher as usual, that should be able to look at themselves in the mirror in the chaning room and think they have earnt their wages.

It was as if Luton were the Premiership team. Nice intrequate (spl) passing, good movement, fighting for the ball. Curry was outstanding. He proves that you do not have to have amazing pace to do well at a good level. Techniquly he was superb. I can not believe he once played for Brighton. He made several of our players look foolish on numerous occasions.

At the end of the day, i am losing patients, especially with Rafa. Many might think i am jumping the gun here with him winning major trophies, but he is no where closer to achieving the thing the club wants the most, the Premiership, and i cant see us winning it under him. Which teams win the League? The attacking teams. Man U, Arsenal have dominated the league over the past 200 years. What do they have in common? attacking football.
Since Mourinho left the league i think Rafa is now probably the most negative manager around. Or the most negative manager in the top half of the table.
Not just today, but for ages, we have been playing far to deep. Our build up play is slow. Their is NO creativity what so ever. When gerrard is abscent we are nothing!! And it has been this way for years. We are so negative. 1 striker ah home against Wigan and 2 defensive midfielders. Heaven forbid we conceed a goal.

Im not going to go on to much about Rafa here, leave it for another topic, so will try say soemthing about the game.

Well played luton. You deserved to win, and strangely i wanted you to win today. For the first time ever i wanted us to lose. Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. That is why i wanted England not to qualify for euro's. It would have just been delaying the inevitable, and caused bigger heartache when we eventually would go out. I LOVE Liverpool so much, but think we are getting no where with the current manager, and i want a change. We have waited too long to mount a serious challenge for the league. Will Rafa ever deliver? Today was evidence of this. Before the game i predicted that team. Without Gerrard and torres that is probably our strongest lineup. Today just proved we are still so plane and basic. When comparing the current crop of players with the [beep!] players we had last year and year before that they look brilliant. But nothing! No creativity, no fight, no imagination. No class.
Iv said it before and will say it again. Babel cant start a game yet, even against Luton. He is so explosive and dangerous but does f all when starts a game. His touch is too heavy, he is to quick for his own good and gets the ball stuck under his feet.
Kuyt was a joke today, as was Riise. Both say goodbye to Anfield please, your not good enough.

I heard a disgusting fact today. Rafa has spent £143 million in 3 years. Houllier spent £112 in 6 and we are no where close to winning the league now than we were 3 years ago. Rafa should stop moaning about his 'lack' of money. SOmething has to change!

No you wouldn't. Not if you'd watched our games this season. Kewell is a class above Babel when starting a match.

As for the match, these things happen. Luton were never going to roll over.. they gave everything to the cause and deserved to win. That's what the FA Cup magic is supposed to be about, isn't it? The little teams having the chances to beat the big teams and the tournament having so many upsets.

We didn't play well, but what bemuses me is why people seem to think that that is our standard performance. That the way we played against Luton is what we're capable of. It clearly isn't - time and time again each player who's played today has shown reason to believe that they're capable of playing in our team. A bad performance - or even numerous bad performances, as we have seen this season - does not mean we have not the quality. Consistency, yes - we lack consistency.

The player's seem so overshadowed by Gerrard and Torres in fact that they've forgotten how to play themselves. Which is frightening. They aren't used to taking a game by the scruff of the neck and riding it out and winning - playing well or otherwise. This is because Gerrard has always done it, and now Torres. On occasion they will themselves, but that is too infrequent and as a result means we're a little lost without the 'star' pair.

Oh and Benraul, Chelsea won the Premier League twice in a row, whilst playing far more defensively than ourselves. If Rafa doesn't bring us the title, it'll be because he cannot deal with the media pressure that accompanies the job - rather than his style or tactics. Ferguson and Wenger aren't subjected to the same relentless negative attention whilst Mourinho could deal with it. Perhaps we need someone who can deal with it also.. and before anyone pops up, no, we shouldn't have Mourinho (not that he'd come here anyway).

Anyway, i'm sure we'll overcome Luton at Anfield.
