Defoe just wants to run his contract out and do a Campbell, fair enough.

Ben Haim yes please but 3-4mill absolute tops. 8mill is daylight robbery, just cos Chelsea get bent over every time they buy a player doesnt mean they should carry it on to everyone else.

I most certainly am not but i believe you have a player in stock who we can work with and would be successful here as competition for the right side of Midfield.

But the delay in Villa offering the 30 year old a new deal has alerted both Tottenham and Newcastle.

"I’ve read in the press that those two clubs would be interested in me.

"I don’t know if they have spoken to Aston Villa, I haven’t heard anything, but it’s two big clubs and it’s certainly something that would interest me" he added.

Snap him up I say, he really impressed me against us. Was doing everything down their end that we couldnt do at our end. The odd goal is a bonus but just his determination and ability to clear dangerous balls from set peices is very much needed.

Although i just made this up it may actually happen we supposidly want laursen, villa supposidly want defoe both out of contract in the summer why not swap em.

I thought Defoe had 18 months left on his contract? Confused

It is up to Defoe if he wants to go or not .... if he wants to stay all he has to do is sign a contract ....
