Anyone see this game last night? Great performance from Espanyol, especially in the first half. They totally ripped Villerreal apart every time they attacked and could easily have scored twice as many goals.

They settled down in the 2nd half but I was really impressed with their football & they should be very much in contention for a Champions League place if they keep it up. Only one point behind Barcelona after that result

Espanyol is playing some brilliant football this year, and most of their players are spanish which is good for our national team.

Yeah De La Pena & Tamudo were both great last night, same with Riera & Garcia. I couldnt believe some of the football they played in the first half yesterday, brilliant stuff.

Guillem Balague was delighted after the game as well, couldnt hide his delight! said he expects them to get Champions League football this season

Not really, they're more a UEFA team, they're expected to end up between the top 7, not the top 4... but every year we have a team that surprises us all.

Yeah its strange that, every year one team comes from nowhere and challenges for the title. You never see that in the Premier League. Sevilla last year, Sociedad a few years ago, Betis, Deportivo, etc. This year it looks like Espanyol

Yeah Atletico are looking strong, you can hardly call that a surprise though considering all the money they spent. they have a really good squad this year. They could probably still use another centre back though
