oh ...i saw Gallas intervene but didnt realise why exactly .. well if the cameras have footage we could yet be in trouble with the FA and Adebayor could find himself being banned for a few matches .

Apart from that little incident and the Justin Hoyte lunge at Keane i thought we had behaved well during the match .

I cannot beleive I witnessed that performance from Jenas Shocked Can't beleive I'm going to say this but, maybe JeZZlee was right. Always ranting on about how good Jenas can play and I (and I'm not the only one) continued to laugh him off. Great result for the Yids, atmosphere looked unreal. Had to choose between Spurs & Fulham for my bet too and backed away from Spurs Sad

Here's hoping to a Spurs v Everton final

I think most football fans realise Jenas has the class and ability to be a very good player. The problem is and Spurs fans are the first to call him out on it he hardly ever puts in the full effort and plays within himself.

When he plays to his potential he is devastating as he showed tonight against top class opposition, the sad thing is tho he only does that a few times a season, and the rest of the time he just coasts thru games and i would assume training too.

I seriously think we should make him captain and say lead us, show us what you can do!

Certainly wasnt as much of a meltdown as laast years CC final, and atleast they went after each other instead of the opposition this time when losing.

Sure does come across as a competition they care about, despite Wengers assertions.

I agree with that totally. I was expecting Arsenal's kids to start throwing the toys out of their prams but to be fair they kept their heads and even Cesc swapped shirts at the end. I respect that, they showed their class in how to handle to heavy defeat.

Laughing

showed their class by headbutting their team mates?

I meant their behaviour towards the opposition, although I take your point on board! I don't mind them fighting with each other, I just sit back and enjoy the show. Starting on the opposition and referee is different altogether.

CFCBhoy: I was thinking that last night, about what JeZZlee's comments on Jenas. He had an absolute blinder! Very Happy

I felt a bit sorry (only a little mind) for the young keeper - didn't Alex Manniger, who looked very promising, have a torrid time of it against Chelsea letting in a hatfull.

He was never the same again after that.

The Fa will investigate the Adebayor and Bendtner incident, and have requested video evidence.

We demolished an Arsenal starting XI costing £51m to Spurs £39m, including the 3 subs used this becomes £62m Arsenal to £53m Spurs.

You could see what it meant to the lads, I love seeing them all celebrate like that at the end. Its nights like that (and Saint Ramos) that could convince Berbatov to stay at the club.

No, its only the FA Cup where the runners up get the Euro spot.

We can't take our foot off the pedal then, we need to seriously try and win this cup.

We have to maintain that kind of form starting this weekend v United, there's no point only upping our game and producing such beautiful dedicated football if its against the Arse - we need to be doing it week in week out.

But the signs under Ramos are looking better and better Very Happy

Aye we need to carry on from here so one day we can look back at last nights game as the turning point. But it will be mighty hard for the players to get themselves back up there to that state of motivation etc for the Man U game.

One thing that hasnt been mentioned yet that deserves to be is the absolutely top class performance by Teemu Tainio. My Man Of The Match, dominated that midfield and played exactly the type of battling, break it up, midfield general role we needed. Directly responsible for Jenas' ability to get forward and roam around at will because he had confidence in Tainio being back there covering him.

Well done Teemu.

I'd second that Jono, he was outstanding - did what was asked of him without making a song & dance about it, which in turn allowed JJ to strut his stuff.

I haven't read the other posts(too many) but here's my take on why Arsenal got this battering.
1.It wasn't there day, luck was against them. When i saw that Bendtner attempt not go in i knew it then.

2.there were a couple of major weak links in the team 1)Traore offered nothing on the wing and was inept in defense,he looked totally out of his league.2)Wallcot kept holding onto the ball way too long and made life difficult for himself.Hoytt is a better player than he showed and Denilson's injury didn't help either.
Lehmann must be laughing his head off right now or if he loves Arsenal breaking everything in his house, that goalie was abysmal today.

Even my favourite Hleb began making mistakes later in the game mainly from fatigue than anything.

That being said Spurs played some fantastic football and were the better team. The fact that Arsenal didn't use most of their starters was a small part of it,but that was going to be a tough game anyway at white heart lane.I think the manager deserves a lot of credit, getting those boys in shape.Maybe a language barrier is a good thing sometimes.

Congratulation to Spurs for beating Arsenal in a game of pure Football, and not rugby in disguise like some other teams.

The Arsenal young ones and Wenger will learn more from this and it will only make them stronger in the future.

I think the adebayor/Bendtner incident is none of your business really .Obviously something sparked adebayor off and if Bendtner had the gall to complain to adebayor about anything after scoring an own goal and basically doing nothing the entire game then he had it coming. Here's a a kid who scores one goal and starts complaining about playing time and asking for a move,so it's obvious the kid has issues
about his own abilities. So F*ck him.

By thew ay Arsenal have lost before this season,at home to a worse team so all the talk about bad loosers is trash and you all know it.

Must keep his place in the side, atleast until Zokora gets back, hes not a right or left midfielder where Jol always played him. Play him in the middle where hes best, his natural position.

I hope Ramos sees this as I do.

Arsenal V Spurs
