Who thinks Ramos will do a better job as manager for Spurs that Martin Jol ever did? I don't think he will but thats my opinion...

NotsoamazingAmyifyou'recomingoutwithrubbishlikethat: Juande Ramos is the REAL DEAL. The Dog's B's.

This is a transitional season for us, but watch us next season. We'll get 4th, I'm confident of it.

Why Ramos will do better than Jol

Ramos had 27 games to change things around this season for Spurs . At the end of the year he has so far added 17pts from 9 games in charge . Thats 1.88pts pr game . If he continues for the rest of the season at this rate we will of amassed 51pts with ramos add the 7 we had from jol makes a total of 58 pts for the season . If Ramos had been in charge from the start of the season 1.88pts pr game would of amassed 71pts for the season! and i think were improveing game by game so this rate may yet improve as the season continues ! .

I think you can see that Ramos Has Improved Spurs not only from the poor start we made but It looks like he will take us to a top four spot next year on this form . Very Happy Very Happy

I think hes the real deal and if we can hold onto him and Berbs for a few years we could really be in business.

The big problem is holding on to berbs ... if as the press are implying he wants to go then we should accept his choice and use the £25m plus we get to bring in another world class player ! (or two).

It will be better for us in the long run if we treat players right this will encourage others to come in future!

Ramos is right up there with Wenger in my opinion. Top, top man.
Spurs are very fortunate to have him. He will bring good times to White Hart Lane.

/\ Wise words from a North London rival there /\
To be mentioned up there with Wenger is praise indeed.

I think already Ramos has shown in this very short time a vast improvement from the Spurs of the first 2 months of the season.

Jol is a legend, will always be so, but he took us far as he could - he was brilliant for us in finishing in 5th place twice on the trot.

Juande can really take us places I agree, but I won't be as hasty and claim a 4th place finish next season.
But I hope I'm proved wrong! Wink

What Ramos did at Seville was sensational.
In his first season he took Sevilla to fifth - missing out on the Champions League on goal-difference because of a bizarre succession of results on the final day - and collected the Uefa Cup, destroying Middlesbrough in the final to secure a first trophy in over half a century.
Last season, Ramos' second at the club, Seville pushed Real Madrid and Barcelona until the final day in the league, claiming a first-ever Champions League place. They successfully defended their Uefa Cup, and won the Spanish Copa del Rey.
Plus, his philosophy of fast attacking football is good for the game.

I don't think Ramos has given up on climbing as high up the league as possible ... Cups are important and a carling cup win would give us European football next season .

I think Ramos will do what ever is required to get us through against Arsenal and see us into a Cup Final This year.

Then IF we can find away to get a result against Man Utd our season takes a turn which we can build on ...gunning down the Hammers as quickly as possible to get us into the top half of the League.

If all this comes to pass This Season will suddenly take on a very different look .... 2 domestic cup runs ...still in Europe .... and a top half finish in the league.

5-1 and were flying !

The turning point of our season?

If we can turn tonight's result into league results then we have a good chance to finish well up the top half of the league!

simply the best performance from the lads this season ! Smile

Even if we lost 5-0 to Man U that wouldnt dampen Spurs supporters spirits.

The reason we are competing in matches against the bigger teams now is the players are alot fitter.

Despite the Arsenal fans thinking last night was about them think it was about us more!

after what happened to jol after our poor start to the season we have needed something to jel our squad and get the fans behind our management like we were behind jol ! Ramos has had an uphill struggle IMO to win over all the fans ... Until last night ... now were starting to believe again ! were off to a cup final and the squad looks more united than at any time this season ! smiles on the fans ,squad and management team spoke more than any reports in any papers today . COYS !

btw beating Arsenal was just the icing on the cake . magic

i know i posted this before on the cc thread but i thought ill post it here too Smile

Ramos won many friends last night! Wink

Inlcuding Berbs maybe....

“I look happy, don’t I?” the Bulgaria striker said. “We showed against a very good Arsenal team, with great players, that we were above them and wanted the win more than they did and we achieved it. I know we can achieve a lot. Sometimes we underestimate our ability to do great things, but this is an example of what we can do against a great opponent. It shows what you can achieve if you believe in your quality and play like we did.

“We’ve shown that this club can challenge for trophies. If we believe in our quality, it doesn’t matter who we play – Arsenal, Man U or some other team. We have great players and we have a coach who can achieve a lot with us. Let’s all believe in Tottenham and we won’t disappoint anyone.”

With Tottenham fans looking forward to booking tickets for their first cup final in six years, Berbatov is eagerly awaiting his debut at Wembley. “I have never played at Wembley and everybody is excited,” he said. “Wembley is a legendary stadium. I have always wanted to go there and watch a game, but it’s another thing to go there and play.

“There are no words to describe the noise and the atmosphere at White Hart Lane. In the end, we did it for them, for every fan of Tottenham. Now let’s hope we can do it again for them at Wembley.”

I downloaded some videos of the game from youtube ... WHL was rocking ! Im now not sure we should go for a stadium the size of the Emirates if we lose the atmosphere of WHL on a semi final night!

lets hope they Remember to keep WHL or the new stadium crowd friendly ! I keep playing the highlights of the game the team was faultless on the day ! they done us proud .... done themselves proud! Very Happy
