Can anyone give me some info on Mile Sterjovski?
Derby are trying to sign him but have had to appeal to the home office to try and get a work permit.
Is he worth the hassle or should we forget it?

Mile Sterjovski is a good player
He has represented australia 33 times. He was selected in the team for the 2006 world cup.
He plays on the wing usually

He is a versatile player, can play either wing, striker or even 'in the hole' behind the striker. scores alot of goals and is a classy player. Played a big part in the Australia-Croatia WC06 game to get us to Round of 16 and will be worth the hassle of getting the work permit.

His appeal is being heard on Wednesday so i hope it is successful.

I hope so too. Derby need some flair. If you know anyone in the club recommend Jason Culina and also Scott Chipperfield to them Those 3 together can hold any midfield strong as Culina distributes to Sterjovski on right and Chipperfield on left while pushing forward and dropping back at the right times. And maybe Bresciano and Grella, Grella for holding midfield to push Culina forward, sterjovski can move to play as striker and bresciano can dominate right side of midfield

AUSTRALIA midfielder Mile Sterjovski has completed his transfer to Barclays Premier League club Derby County after winning the necessary work permit on appeal.
Derby manager Paul Jewell was delighted at securing the services of the 28-year-old, who has played 33 matches for the Socceroos, from Turkish club Genclerbirligi following a Home Office hearing.

"We always felt we had a strong case," Jewell said.

"Mile is an international player with Champions League and World Cup experience. He will make a fantastic addition to the squad."

Sterjovski signed an 18-month deal with Derby for an undisclosed fee, but the club was forced to attend the hearing after he fell short of the criteria to gain an automatic work permit.

Derby are now awaiting international clearance for Sterjovski to take the field against Preston North End in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend.
