David Moyes has rounded off a memorable season by winning the League Managers' Association manager of the year award.
He guided Everton to fourth place in the Premiership this season, which also means a place in the Champions League. "At the start of the season I wondered, 'How can we avoid relegation?' Midway through the season, Everton's form dipped following the sale of Thomas Gravesen to Real Madrid but they showed admirable spirit to finish above local rivals Liverpool - and in a Champions League qualification position. |

Thoroughly deserved in my oppinion. If anyone had said Everton were going to Qualify for the Champions League at the start of the season, then they would have been carted off in white jackets and sent to an insane institution, however he has beat all the odds.
I dont think any other managers acheivements this season even come close to what he has achieved this season. |

The problem with that is, would you have given him manager of the year if they still went down? Also he was not the manager all year through. Over the course of the season, it has to be Moyes in my oppinion

even though i support Liverpool i do agree that moyes deserves it,he has done class without spending alot of money and with a squad which isnt that good

Moyes was on talk sport yesterday. He has cut the squad size down, cut the wage bill, sold his 2 star players and still managed not only to survive, but also qualify for the Champions League.
I hope they do well in the competition next season now. I dont expect they will get far, but i dont want to see them embarrased by silly score lines either |

for mostof the season he didnt even have a job at west brom, sure he got them out of trouble but you cant put him. |
