A fantastic effort by Havent and all the people connected with the club should be bloody proud of what they have done

I bet there will be a few bookies paying out tonight with Havent getting 2 goals

What were the odds on that anybody know

Aye but they haven't played any amateurs. Wink

I'm sure they would've found a way to concede - if there's one team as bad as us for making almighty Little Johnny-ups of everything, it's Newcastle...

Did my post just edit "c*ck-ups" to "Little Jonny-ups"?... Laughing

I know Bluey, if they were at home we sure wouldn't have won as convincingly as we did...

Pool fans surely can't be happy with conceding twice at home to a side such as Havant?

Good effort from them, what a day out for them and a lot of their "fans".

I wouldn't say "happy" floody no, although i usually treat these sort of ties against the lower league clubs as a bit of a freak situation. Their determination and commitment usually goes to balance things out more than you'd expect. Although the gap should be of such a difference that we shouldn't have conceded no matter what, which is disappointing. Especially that our defence is making such terrible mistakes against a side that we shouldn't be panicking in the slightest against. This area (as i said above) is really suffering of late.

And Bluey, i was confident we'd win. We'd just had a brilliant opportunity to take the lead before they scored with a Benayoun header, which made clear that we were going to get many more chances. And from that it was sort of inevitable that we were going to eventually prevail... against Luton perhaps they have it in them to get a result, but Havant aren't that good. It's in matches like the Middlesbrough one where we create nothing going forward that i become worried. On quite a few occasions we were parked in and around their penalty box.

Nice to see the Havant fans having a great day out - on paper LPool should have got double figures. The H & W fans must be over the moon to have been in the lead twice Wink

They showed a kid (probably 15 or 16) crying his eyes out after the 1st goal. You'd think he'd just had a beatific vision!Laughing

I watched some of the game on Match of the day last night, terrible defending from us from us for both of their goals... they had a few more chances aswell. But well done to Havant & Waterlooville for putting in a decent performance on the day and it makes me proud to be a Liverpool fan for the reception Havant & Waterlooville's players and fans got from our fans and the club itself.

Now bring on another team from the lower divisions for us! Laughing

Lee Dixon is a moron.

He was on MOTD saying Alfie Potter took the ball on like "a real footballer'.

Plank.

Wow what a story or two for some of the Havant & Waterlooville players to tell their Grandkids in years to come.

I am delighted for them that they got on the scoresheet at Anfield, but to be honest there was only going to be one result from this game, and Liverpool pulled through in the end.

Must say fair play to the Liverpool supporters, who applauded the opposition team and fans, when their coach arrived, and after the match - they really added to what was already an incredible day out and should be patted on the back for doing so.

I was at the Bristol city game when we got beat at Anfield back in the 90's and we all stayed behind in the Kop after the game and clapped Bristol off the pitch so don't give me that. Us Liverpool fans give credit where it's due, it also happened when Bolton got a result against us in the cup in the 90's when they were in the division bellow.

Did the Everton fans do the same when they got beat by Oldham 1-0? I didn't hear anything. They probably moaned out of the ground with five minutes to go.

Liverpool vs. Havant & Waterlooville
