Keegan needs to go out and buy some players. A striker would be good start and some decent wingers.

technically.. they just won by 1-0.. the other two were likely og by the magpies players..

it's adebayor again.. wonder if he's no longer in the team.. would've been so many possibilities.. lol..

and i think that cesc should get a yellow for his tackle on smith.. there's even no contact with the ball..

Good response by Arsenal. They played well today. Pretty much everyone on the pitch had a decent to good game. Too bad Rosicky went out injured to bring on Eduardo so Walcott had to go back to playing as a winger. However, Walcott did well today after a very shaky start in the first 10 minutes. Adebayor with two great goals.

I was happy to see Fabregas make shots on goal instead of looking for that final 'impossible' pass. He's in desperate need of a goal. I don't remember the last time he had one.

Gallas was awake today, Senderos didn't screw up and played well.

In the end, I'm happy with the game/win. Now we have to continue that onto Tuesday against the same opponent.

I don't think the second goal by Ade is an own goal. The defender there had no chance to clear it and it went in a flash, so to say it as an own goal is a bit too much.

Also i don't think Cesc should get a yellow for tat tackle. From the other angle, you can clearly see that he got a touch on the ball and the commentator also said that. so its not even a foul i think.

Anyway Arsenal played better in the second half and the scoreline doesn't reflect the game clearly as Newcastle played well and even created good chances especially in the 1st half.

Flipper is a Man Utd fan ..what do you expect from her ... Wink i agree that there was nothing the defender could have done about Adebayors shot ...it was too late and he just helped it in . Also the tackle by Fabregas ...no chance it was a yellow ...he di indeed get a touch on the ball .

I see now, his rotating. I often noticed how he liked to keep one eye on the young bench throughout a game, that explains it.

As for the result I was interested how Arsenal would respond from the midweek thrashing, mentally as a club as oposed to the players physically.
And Wenger demonstrated he has that winner's mentality well installed - it sounds as though it was business as usual.

Yeah, as already pointed out, Wenger rotates the Keepers for the different competitions. Clearly on priority as well.

Fabianski, the weakest and most inexperience played in the Carling Cup for experience.
Lehmann, now second choice and on his way out plays the F.A Cup as he is more than capable and gives our number one a rest.
Almunia is the top man and I'm still baffled at how good he's been all season. He's really come a long way.

Good win for us and it's good to see Adebayor bag another brace. Eduardo made an interesting contribution I thought and he is really starting to look comfortable in that Arsenal attack.

Sad for Rosický to pull up injured. If we ever manage to keep him and van Persie fit, we'll have such a side.

Arsenull v's Newcastle
