The title race is over

I'd say 9 points is a pretty safe lead, especially now that Real have overcome the obstacle of Villareal. I'm realistic enough to see that we can't catch up with them after tonight's results. Real would have to commit harakiri for us to have any chance of winning the league.

What i want now is for Barca to do well in the CL, then sell Ronaldinho, use the money to buy a few players in key positions and get a better manager for next season (cause Rijkaard can't seem to motivate some of his players anymore).

Yes 99% sure that the title is for Madrid, now we have to concentrate on Copa del Rei and Champions. For next season yesterday I read rumours about Mourinho for next season, I think that could be a good option. And of course to sell some players like Ronaldinho, Deco, Marquez, Thuram,...

I don't think the tittle race is over, it wouldn't be the first time that the leading team loses such a big distance. Real Madrid won La Liga last year and Barcelona even had 7 or 8 points of difference... Back in 2003-2004 we were first with 10 points over Valencia and they won the tittle, so you never know.
I think it depends on if we are able to keep with this level for the rest of the season.

As a Newcastle Fan i'd just like to point out we once blew a 12 point lead to Manchester United (yes, i am also still bitter )

However, i dont believe anyone will catch Real, they've been so strong this season, Van Nistelrooy & Robinho have been spectacular this season. Barca need a re-vamp i think? Jose Mourinho style maybe? Thierry Henry just isnt the same player he was over here, he needs to be given HIS role rather than a team role, he's much more effective that way..

But last year in the Netherlands PSV had 9,10 or 11 points more than the others, and it was exciting till the end! Ajax, PSV and AZ could be the champion, so it is possible. But I don't think Real would be that stupid as PSV was.

I'm happy we're leading La Liga and I'm happy Barcelona is struggling to keep the 2nd position, but you know the race tittle is not over. There are 16 matches left, which are 48 points and the advantage we have is +9 points. I always fail Maths, but I think you still have chances enough to win the tittle: beating Madrid at Bernabeu, and hoping that we lose against, for example, Zaragoza and Deportivo away.
But I admit I don't see it happening.

To be honest the tittle race could be over I felt we had lost it when Madrid beat us at home phycologicly but in all fairness we have came back from worse and still managed to win things, but I really can't see it. Frank Rijkaard needs to sort out the team on many different stages we are poor away from home, once leading a game we are too complacent, we have players such as Deco and Ronaldinho who feel as though they can do what ever they want and this has effected the team. Other reasons as well like our midfield is too light we can't play Xavi, Deco, Iniesta in the starting 11 all together we need a strong player to go foreward like for example Gerrard at Liverpool but we have Toure who is similar and that doesn't really make a difference.

I am in favor for a chance and I don't want Mourinho I want us to bring Cruyff back!!!

Cruyff won't be back, he retired and won't be a coach again. I think that Mourinho is a good option and seems that is the first in the list.

Jose Mourinho is a MUST for Barca... Everyone knows he ruled himself out of the England job because he wants to be the Barcelona coach. I think Rijkaard has done a brilliant job in his time there, but all good things come to an end and Frank Rijkaard is one of them. Barcelona NEED Mourinho, the man is pure excitement! he brought so much to the English Premiership when he came to Chelsea, before he came over here i thought of him only as the obnoxious Porto manager who ran up and down the touchline with a moody face, and in truth.. HE IS!!! but he's much more than that.. the guy is a legend. Just think of what he could do at a club as huge as Barcelona? he's won 2 Portuguese League Titles, 2 English Premier League Titles, 2 English League Cups, an FA Cup, the Domestic League Cup in Portugal, the Portuguese Super Cup, The UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup. Jose is a born winner, as are the Catalans.. after all it is Més que un club.

Real Madrid will retain their La Liga crown this year, but if Barca and Jose Mourinho are together next year, who knows where the title will go next year

If Mourinho comes then we need to change a bit round because ego's will clash. His is hugh and so is the likes of Ronaldinho if we need Mourinho then we need new players and exactly where is all that money going to come from

Barça next season will have more money due to new TV and Nike contracts, we can spend some milions to sign new players but I think that we don't have to sign players from big clubs. When we signed Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Deco they came from clubs like Mallorca, PSG and Porto, and is what we have to do again, then we won't pay a big amount of money.

They said ego's would clash at Chelsea but he juggled players easier than Ronaldinho can juggle a football.. I'm sure Barca would find some cash for Mourinho, if not there's always going to be interest in the likes of Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco, Gudjonsen... dare i say Messi?

We are going to have more money but after I was doing research on the finaces I don't know how we can afford it really because we are also spenting a lot of money on our stadium something like 250 Million Euro and where is all that and money for players going to come from. We shouldn't of ever started plans for the reconstruction work, maybe in two or three yes but over all I feel there was better ideas then the orinial like this one here
