Sydney FC invited to Pan-Pacific Championship

Sydney FC will be the fourth and final club to be invited to the tournament which will be held in Hawaii. Other three clubs include MLS Cup champions Huston Dynamo, MLS club L.A. Galaxy, and J-League Champions Gamba Osaka.

That was the plan. Not sure why exactly Sydney are in it.

Marketing. Sydney would bring in more money to the tournament.

It's the main reason the tournament started. In my opinion anyways. To whore out Beckham.
