I was pretty disappointed sitting infront of the newsnow.co.uk updates for LFC until the transfer deadline came and went. I probably hit refresh a thousand times waiting for a surprise signing to pop up. But nothing.

This window we signed Skrtel, finalized the deal with Masch, dropped Sissoko out of country and loaned Hobbs.

How do you guys feel? I really expected more things to happen, both in and out.

Are we just puttin our heads down and rollin through the rest of the season? Get a solid enough 11 and play for the Champions League title? What happens if we're UEFA cup next year? I wont be to pleased.

It's hard to be disappointed because i didn't expect anything more than what happened. A defender and Masch were the targets really, and we were never going to go for anyone else i felt. Little really happens in January.

I'm quite pleased that we've finally finalised the Mascherano deal, sold Momo, and solved a problem in the central of defence that has lingered since Houllier's reign.

I agree completely, i really would of loved to see a new right forward though, especially when Pennant got bitten by the injury bug. But all in due time. And I love when the club makes signings early in the summer window.

I also think the owners had somethin to do with the limited signings. A confident owner (in the team, and in the wallet) would have signed Masch straight away, but, they are who they are. and I hope it changes.

Was disappointed about the lack of activity in the transfer window but have to say Skrtel looks like a decent buy to give some competition to the central defence position

Does anyone know whether it is true that there are sixty professionals on Liverpools books? I know there are about 25 in the main squad, so guess rest would be youth team etc, just seems like an extraordinary number of players?

Yeah we do, but i think we've put all our reserve and some youth players onto the main squad unlike other clubs.
