Ian Dowie has been sacked as manager of Coventry. Not sure what to make of this one, their cup form was special but they have been notoriously poor in the Championship whilst they also had severe worry woes.

Not having the greatest career of late ol' Shrek is he?

Think walsalls Richard Money could well be on his way there, I have a soft spot for walsall with them being just down the road. He has coventry connections and walsalls 2 best defenders moved there on the last day of the transfer window.

Also he was one of the front runners for the job when the pictoresque dowie got it. It would be a shame for walsall if he left, they look like they may be on for having a crack at promotion.

Yeah thats a fair shout mate, money has certainly done well with Walsall and their League One form this season has been simply outstanding.

Unfortunatly though now I think they might just fall away, after having a gaping hole left in their defence after the january sales

Agreed. It remains to see whether they can cope now, i can see them perhaps sliding into a comfortable mid table finish. If Money were to depart it would be a disaster.

I feel quite sorry for him. I personally thought he was doing a grand job at the Sky Blues, but obviously not.

All he needed was a bit of cash in the summer and promotion was on the way next year

I thought the sme thing aswell, but it seems Dowie has never been able to match the success he had in his first season as Crystal Palace manager when he took the up through the play offs

I thought Dowie did a good job under very difficult circumstances this season fair enough they have dropped off the pace but he wanted some cash to spend and he didnt really get it

All the problems with the takeover was bound to have an effect and when the new owner came in it was only a matter of time before he wanted his own man in

Im just sorry that it was a defeat to Preston which has ultimatly cost him his job

Well that cup form is fizzling out disastrously.

5-0 down at home to West Brom.
