The draw is hard for these two teams, it's only the last 16 and in the last 32 Arsenal faced Newcastle and Manchester United faced Tottenham. Shocked

We got Liverpool last season at Anfield and disposed of them quite easily.

Man Utd will be much tougher but I feel we're on a great run of form and hopefully with the return of Touré we can prove difficult to score against. Ronaldo has never really bothered us and the key battle will be in the middle of the park.

I can see it being a draw.

A draw would be bad for both clubs. Just means an extra tough game mixed in with all the touch CL and EPL fixtures that are already there. I feel like it's going to be a wide open game.

The result of this match depends upon what team Arsene puts If he goes for a strong line up then it will neck on neck.

I will wonder if Arsene Puts strong line up against United. One thing for sure we will be putting our full strength squad with Rooney and Tevez upfront and i wish to see Anderson in the midfield with Hargreves because i still remember the match at the Emirates and performance of Hargreves and Anderson. They both were awesome. Hargo did all the ugly work to break the flow of the Arsenal game.

Hope to see Scholes and Giggs on the bench. I dont want them to play because in the match against Arsenal we dont need experiance we need pace and penetrator who can penetrate the Arsenal game plan and game style.

I will go for 2-0 victory for United. If Arsene puts 2 stream team otherwise it will be 0-0 draw and a violent replay.

I don't know who i want to win this. I'd rather Arsenal went through knocking United out of the competition in the process, for the sheer fact that i don't want the Mancs to win the tournament, but then if i had to choose between which of the two i'd rather be drawn against, i'd probably say Manchester United. Confused

Nah i'll be cheering on Arsenal...

I have a suspicion that they won't win it mind. Edged out in a close 2-0.

Wenger's come out and stated that the FA Cup is third on his priority list (League, CL, FA Cup). It'll be interesting to see what squad he comes out with, considering we have AC Milan on Wednesday.

erm.. is it likely an excuse just incase the Gunners lose?..

maybe fergie should say something too.. lol..

i hope everyone's playing in their positions.. won't really matter if Gunners come to us with their reserve team or third string..

and if nothing goes wrong.. Rooney would be the first to score later..

yes of course it is Flipper ....if we win Arsene will say even though it was not his strongest team , they all played as a team and showed tremendous spirit and had to be tough and in the end got what they deserved ... Wink

I wish the team that lost to Man City would turn up again on Saturday ....doubt it though . Smile

Unless we play near our full strength side we will struggle to beat them i fear ....this could be a crucial point in the season though ...if we win we could do a double ..

ideal result would be for a draw to tire out the teams and then Arsenal to win after extra time in the return leg

After the disastrous display on Sunday, Man United should be all out to get nothing but a victory. Give something back to fan's for embarrassing them against their local rivals.

Yes it will be hard, playing an on-form Arsenal team, but two loses at home in succession is unbelievable.

I think a 2-1 win for United. Well I hope so from a Red Devil perspective.

If not, and it's another day to forget, then Arsenal may just nick it, 0-1!

Not atall, but I have supporters of both clubs at work here saying they would rather lose than get a replay to add further fixtures (true supporters that they are)

now only you come to realize how tricky your team manager can be aye.. lol..

if you guys win.. bla bla bla they're playing extremely good.. if you guys lose.. nah nah nah i don't know what's going on.. same old brand new music.. XD

ha! my team were under a huge pressure playing against city last time.. maybe some spiritual sense or what.. that's why they seemed to be pretty lost.. T.T

double what?.. epl and cl cups?.. or epl and fa cups?.. try some treble like us =P

Personally, I'd rather save our best team for the game against Milan next week.

Although I always like us to win the FA Cup, I felt it dropped to around Carling Cup level when Man Utd didn't defend their Cup title in 1999-2000.

I'm not blaming Utd, but they were pressurised by the FA to go to that stupid tournament in Brazil, and allowed to drop out of the FA Cup.

I'm sure they would have liked to try and hold on to the trophy - and maybe repeat their treble - but they didn't get the chance and it wasn't the same for the teams that would have liked to win the trophy.

Would the Prem count much this season if Man Utd, as holders, were not in it?

Gael Clichy (hamstring) and Bacary Sagna (personal reasons) are highly likely to miss out while Philippe Senderos (thigh/knee) can be considered doubtful.

We'll lose some rhythm in the backline and both Sagna and Clichy were key starters for us, so that's a big loss. However Touré and Eboué return and I think they'll be fine fitness wise, Touré might be a little sluggish but it doesn't take the guy long getting back into the rhythm.

And credit to Senderos, he has stepped into Touré's gap and has been brilliant. You can't say that's down to Gallas as well, he's not been at his best - just look at the Spurs game when Senderos wasn't available.

Anyway, like twmcat I'm not hugely fussed. I'd rather see a few players get a rest for the AC Milan game as the European Cup and the Premiership are key. We don't want to disrespect the F.A Cup, but it is a cup and if you weigh it up with the Champions League, there's no competition simply because it's tougher and we've never won it.

I look forward to the game though. Both sides have undoubtedly been the best football sides in the Country this season and the table, goal stats and performances have shown that. The more I look at it the more I see a Man Utd win unfortunately. But as long as we put in a good shift and don't let ourselves down.

Arsenal 'might' be missing Adebayor aswell but will travel

Also flamini senderos clichy have muscle problems but will travel.

I think it all depends on thier fitness.

If Clichy does play then Ronaldo won't be as much of a threat.
Also Flamini in the middle of the park does wonders.
and adebayor has been the best player in the league this season.

If they don't play then i can only see it going one way

with the amount of injuries to the side this game is going to be a shadow of what it should have been. cant see us winning it, would love it but...too many injuries and its away.
