The Brazilian Ronaldo

Looks like Ronaldo got injured again at the weekend. It seems that every time that he gets back to playing first team football he picks up a knock.
Milan took a chance on him when they signed him but i really think that his career at the top level of football is drawing to a close. The best I can see for him is to return to Brazil for a couple of seasons

We have room for him at Celtic if he's willing to take a major pay-cut

agree wit u. i think italian top flight football is too hard for him now. however i still remember serie a 97/98 when he almost grabbed top scorer award.

He's just after getting injured again. Looks really bad. He came on as sub & after a few mins he did his knee in. He was crying it was so bad.

I feel very sad for him, the end of the carreer of one of the most unlucky players ever

Looks like there maybe hope for Ronaldo, Milan may offer him a new contract - can't see the terms being particularly appealing, and if I was Milan it would be on a pay per game basis

No, Milan won't do it. It was almost determined to sell Ronaldo to his native Flamengo. But smth went wrong and as a result Ronaldo is still in Milan. And this succession of his injuries give me no fun. I call it professional uslessness.

I think it will be his end only if he thinks like that. He proved the whole world was wrong in 2002, when he was topscorer in the World Cup, a few months after the doctors say he was over. Another injury might be some cold water on his morale, but if he works hard and really try his best to get back on form he still can play at a very high level

In many ways I hope it isn't the end of Ronaldo.
I would like to see him play at his peak for a season then retire on a high. Unfortunately I can't see it happening

But 41 days of rigorous physiotherapy later, things are looking much brighter. Ronaldo has ditched his crutches and has regained nearly a full array of movement.

“I am really happy with how things are going and because I don’t feel any pain now,” the former Real Madrid striker declared.

Ronaldo’s physiotherapist, Bruno Mazziotti, is just as excited by the swiftness of the Brazilian’s recovery to date.

“We are working slowly but surely to get the best results possible,” said Mazziotti.

“Ronaldo is increasing in confidence and taking a more independent approach.

“In the coming weeks we will start to work with weights.”

Ronaldo will return to training with Milan this week and is scheduled to meet with Gerard Saillant, head surgeon on his operation, on April 3.
