January 25 (Euro 2008) - Holland coach Marco van Basten has visited Clarence Seedorf in Milan for clear-the-air talks.

The pair have a chequered history, with Van Basten having excluded the 31-year-old from the squad for more than two years after he was appointed in 2004.

The AC Milan star has been back in the fold in recent times but said in December he "gives, gives, gives" to the national side "but gets nothing back".

Coming after Van Basten had allowed him to return to his club rather than play in the dead rubber Euro 2008 qualifier against Belarus, the coach found the comments surprising.

Van Basten told Friday's De Telegraaf: "Maybe we had a misunderstanding.

"That's why I thought it wise to clear the air. It was a good and open conversation, where we looked forward to Euro 2008."

Did you watch the Croatia friendly?

Do you think Jan Venegoor of Hesselink should be in the Dutch squad?

He has had alot of small injury problems which hasnt helped him. He has done very well the last two games.

I hope he can stay fit. I think he gives Holland a target upfront you dont have many big strikers.

well we have Huntelaar who is doing it really good for Ajax. thats what i mean. he scores almost every match (also against croatia) so why would van basten change that? Wink
But in this friendly matches its good if he also give VoH a chance.
Cause everything together....holland is not doing it very good.
