Well it's time for my Preston side to forget about out dreadful league position and get a bit of a lift by trying to beat Premier league high flyers Portsmoth this sunday.

I for one am not too bothered about the result on sunday more the performance i know our chances of causing an upset are very slim and im like therest of the whites fans with the conclussion that the league is know of paromount importance.

I do think we will give Pompey a game but will come out the losing side 3-1

Simon Whaley will score for Preston

Dont let Tez see this post he will have a fit lol

in all fairness though Simon hasnt had the best of seasons up until late but he has started looking more like his old self again Paul Simpson destroyed his confidence by playing him out of position and dropping him all the time.

On his day Simon is one of the best right wingers in the championship and im sure that he will play in the premiership oneday another good spot by stumpy davies.

Don't diss the Whaley!

Wink

Guess what Steve0. Ive bet on this game so Preston will probably win as ive gone with Portsmouth. Preston seem to win one week then lose the next, they havnt got any consistency at the moment and i'm wondering which team will turn up on sunday. But Portsmouth should be too strong for the lilly whites.

So what's going on with Matty Hill Steve0? I seen last week that you wanted to bench him. He was one of your best players last season. Will he play this week?

I think after a few early jitters and Preston playing up to their home crowd, Pompey will prove too strong and win 3-1.

Matty hasnt really done anything wrong but neither has Callum Davidson who has been playing at left back and i think he should be given a chance to keep up his good form when he comes back from injury

Well i went to the game and im gutted i cant believe it

We battered Pompey in the 2nd half and if it wasnt for David James,a bad Penalty by Whaley,a bad goalkeeping decision, and a fluke own goal all deep in stoppage time we would have won that game.

Pompey proberbly had the better of the 1st half without really threating Lonners at all but in the 2nd half we were 1st class all over the park and if it wasnt for James could have had a Pompey out of sight

Im proud of the lads and if we play like that in the league we will survive im sure of that

Unlucky SteveO mate,Preston were superb in the 2nd half and deserved to be in front at least, they were pushing Pompey back and pressuring them all over the pitch only to lose it at the death just like us,very hard to take, but you must be proud and yet confused why they are in relegation when they can play like that against a very good side

Preston played really well.
I got so frustrated watching the game, our passing was poor.
And preston did deserve at least a replay, they completely outplayed us in the second half.
i dont have a clue what half our team were doing lol

but hey were through, only to get drawn away to Man Utd...Great! Smile
