Contacts...

In the football industry, i beleive its more about who you know, rather than what you know. As i want to progress into a career within the football industry (Player Agent/Representation) I was wandering if anyone has any contacts they could share with me?
Any Agents?
Scouts?
Players?
Coaches?
Club Officials?
Anyone in the football industry that could help me progress further...

you cant just ask for contacts. you need to go to clubs, be a bit cheeky, see what you can get. i cant just give you jose mourinho's number, and then you say he is a contact. its one of those things you need to go out and investigate for yourself. it will take a while, i have been coaching for many a year now, despite the fact i am only 18! i got my contacts due to the fact that i was a young coach at 13, and people wanted to help. for example, i had neville southall help me out at a few sessions, because he had heard that i was a young coach with a bit of ambition. you need to go out and as a i said, be a bit cheeky. ask questions you shouldnt! you never know what people may say! if you were to meet sir alex ferguson, why shouldnt you ask him if you can come and observe Man Utd training for a week? you will probably never meet the man again. if he says no, he says no. no harm done. if he says yes, result! do you see where i am coming from? Dont be scared of rejection, it will happen!! go out into the world with no fear, and things will open up for you.

My family, as well as other people I know, had plenty of Australian football contacts. Gary van Egmond (Newcastle Jets manager) was the Pepsi representative for my Dad when he owned service stations. Ray Richards (first Australian to get sent off in a World Cup) was a mate of my Dad's, and Doug Utjesenovic (another former Socceroo) is my Year 12 History teacher's brother-in-law. But I don't really have anything to do with them anymore, unfortunately.
