A very disappointing second half display. Complacency set in and we didn't get going at all. They started much better than us after half time but to be honest they didn't look that threatening until Cerny's mistake let them back into the game and gave them something to play for. Keano going off didn't help our cause either as we all know how hard he works to try and retrieve the ball and his influence was missed as well, I feel. Aslo, Berbs is always much better/happier when Keane is on the field and unfortunately he got a bit grumpy at times during the second half.
There are certainly lots of positives to take from this game though and despite the laughable second half, we should still make it into the next round. As we all know though, the second leg could turn out to be a massive inconvenience for us. Let's hope that isn't the case, after squandering such a good opportunity to make the tie much more comfortable.
Woody was once again solid at the back and is proving to be a very valuable signing; O'Hara played well once he came on and made some decent runs up the left-hand side; Huddlestone was comfortable on the ball and linked up the play well; Keane worked hard up until he was substituted and Berbs showed touches of pure class alongside moments of arrogance and laziness.

It's an OK result but could of - and should of - been a much better one.

On a side note: the camera-work on channel 5 was simply rubbish at times. The game wasn't a classic but there's no excuse for dozing off on the job!

Complacency; that's what it's down too. And Ramos will not stand for it. And Cerny won't be our keeper next season after that!

We're through to the quarter finals anyway and that's the main thing. So we can rest a few players for the Carling Cup final.

Job done but disappointing second half - as Johaldo said, at least Ramos won't stand for such complacency so he will hopefully shake that out of the lads.

King was on the bench but glad his knee wasn't risked in the freezing conditions - all being well the home tie should see us through okay, but I daren't take anything for granted these days.

Got a slight hamstring injury i think it was his ham string anyway, should be back within the month is what im hearing but knowing our luck he'll be out for the season. Which would mean we payed 2.3 mil for nothing as we could of got him on a free in the summer.

Argh, showboating too much and trying to score the perfect goal cost us in this, should have been 3 or 4 nil so we could play the reserves for the second match and rest the lads for the final.

Oh well, I think or goalkeeping situation will cost us a chance at silverware this season. Dont much like the idea of going to the CC final with Cerny after that mistake, better than having Robbo there tho. UEFA I feel the same, late on he might cost us.

Shows how vitally important a great goalkeeper is, we were buying in the offseason anyway and lets hope the Amelia rumours are true, very impressed watching the Milan game the other day.

I understand your concerns BJ but every goalie is prone to the odd mistake. Cerny may not be one of the best 'keepers around but he's been solid enough since he took over from Robbo and until that mistake last night, there weren't really any signs that he'd be too much of a liability.

I read about that yesterday, just didn't post it Cool
Apparently Ramos doesn't want to risk Cerny for the CC Final, so he is playing Robinson for the Final, and tonight.

1-0 Jamie O'Hara deflected shot but should be his first goal for the club.

Deflected effort from Jamie O Hara puts this tie well and truly out of reach for Slavia.

1-0 on the night and currently 3-1 on aggregate, Prague have to score three times now.

I'm just praying that we don't get any injuries. Tainio got a studs up boot in the opening moments, but he looks OK now. Nice pick up by O Hara from Berbatov, deserves his goal for his solid start to his senior Spurs career.

I'd like to see Bent get a goal, and with it some much needed confidence.

He's playing very well and just hit the crossbar. Great cross from O'Hara very hard header Bent did well and almost looped it over the keeper.

Just like the first half in prague we are dominating and i think another goal would completely seal the deal but you know us we always seem to fook it up somehow.
