Ferrari announces his departure |
|
"There're no more the terms to renew my contract with Roma, I'll leave in June but till the last match I'll do my best for Roma" these the words of Matteo Ferrari which contract expires on June the 30th. Juventus and Milan are intereted in the 27 yo central defender, at Roma from 2004 and never fully loved by the fans.
Seems that Roma offered him a €1,6 millions per year contract while he asked for the same wage as Mexes 2,5, in this case this is the fair conclusion of the deal The problem now is that for the next season Roma will have to buy at least one decent CB as we have just Mexes and Juan plus Panucci and Cassetti that may even play in the center but we can't start the new season with just two CB of role |

i think Ferrari is one of the better defenders in the Roma team, so whoever he signs for will get a decent player. 1.6million doesn't sound that much for a player of his standards, though I know that wages in Italy in general are lower than in the Premier League

Especially Roma has a salary cap of 2,5 millions and it's reserved for top players like Mexes and Mancini. If people like Ferrari starts to ask that sums it's a problem for us even if it's never good to lose players like that for free
