Football.co.uk Forum Rules

Threads/Posts must be civil and tasteful.
Threads/posts considered to be offensive to other members, or considered as bad taste may be edited/deleted by one of the forum moderators. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters

Abusive Comments
Football.co.uk will not tolerate insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts towards any other member of the forum. If a member does abuse another member then they will be issued a warning, along with details of why they have been warned. If a member repeats the offence, this will result in a permanent ban.

Discrimination
Discrimination is not tolerated on this forum. Discrimination can take the form of the use of specific words or phrases or can be in the form of a general attitude towards an individual or group of people. For example, making a statement that all black people are criminals is discrimination on the basis of race, is illegal and is unacceptable. Discrimination can be on the basis of race, sex, disability, religion, sexual orientation or political persuasion.

We have a poster who is in breach of this rule in the womens section, do I give a warning or tell him firmly to stop that ?

you have moderator status so you have every right to warn members if you feel they are in breach of forum rules .

Next time though use the `mod warning` thread in the moderator section to discuss anything like this . Cool

Wow, these rules seem overwhelming as a newcomer. But its the rules and will hopefully make these forums one of the best football forums around. I totally agree, however i would like one thing cleared up.
Where it discusses hat we cannot promote other websites on these forums, does that mean that we cannot post up something we wish to show other members such as an image or video from youtube etc?

Images and youtube videos are fine. It is links to other websites that are not allowed. If you do want to post a link, PM an Admin guy first to get their permission Smile

Nakira, anything you are unsure of, you can always PM a mod or admin before hand. We try not to be overly strict with the rules but obviously we need rules to keep some order on the forums.
