How do you mean Raul mate Confused

I meant that He was quite an arrogant person while coaching Sevilla (despite of being a very good manager), so that's the only "point" where this tittle is not good for him...

Maybe so - but I guess many managers have such a trait, maybe its confidence being perceived as arrogance? It might be what sets good managers apart from the rest.

Why is everyone so obsessed with Spurs getting fourth spot?

All i seem to read is wow Spurs have won a trophy and are getting better, maybe they can get the biggest prize of all, the magical 4th spot!

Ahh come on CFC, we have had 7, 8, 9 pages of discussion over what was a great win, and you have to go and drag Steely into it.

Chimbonda apologises

Quote:
The France international headed straight down the tunnel upon being substituted, but has now apologised to his team-mates.

"I was annoyed at being taken off in such an important match," said Chimbonda in The Sun.

"But the manager has explained his reasons and I have apologised to my team-mates for my behaviour.

"They understand and everything is fine."

He won't be starting next season anyway - it will be Hutton and Bale as full backs.

Yes but who do we have cover for right back if he leaves only tainio and he aint a full back. If Chimbonda is happy playing when needed, i say we keep him. But i think he is motivated by money but he likes to earn his money, the Carling Cup shows he is passionate about playing although he shouldnt of stormed off it shows he wants to play and win.

Worst thing we can do IMO, big danger of that match turning into a 90 minute lap of honour.

We need to knuckle down, forget about the Carling Cup and win the match convincingly.

Save the [beep!] for a pointless league match.

Give the players some credit! Do you honestly think they won't have their eyes 100% on the bigger prize?

Having the parade before that PSV game will, if anything, make them even hungrier to succeed, given how sweet the cup final victory tasted. That's how I see it anyway.

I agree there Johaldo. The players will see the reaction from the fans, and I'm sure that will act as an incentive for them to push on and triumph again.

I agree with the legend that is Big Jono. Should keep the party celebrations for some 'nothing game' in the league. Uefa Cup game needs all attention on that game and not have players thinking about how much craic they had celebrating

Im not with you there guys, making a big deal out of the win at the next game, haveing a parade on matchday or something around the stadium will be a huge distraction to the job at hand.

We have professionals butsome like Lennon, Chimbonda, Hudd etc I see thinking (maybe subconsciously) the job is done and ease off.

Im all for celebrating it but at our next most important game of the season, the first leg against PSV is a bad idea.

And just saw this on BBC today, Sir Ramos has similar ideas

Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has blocked plans for a victory parade, insisting his players must focus on the Premier League and the Uefa Cup before hiring a bus. (The Sun)
