Just watching the highlights from the rest of this weekends action, and another fine display from Ros McCormack with two fine finishes against Gretna.

The boy is not long for the Well, me thinks.

Results from this weekends action in the SPL:

St Mirren 0 - 1 Celtic
Kilmarnock 3 - 1 Aberdeen
Rangers 4 - 2 Gretna
Dundee United 0 - 0 Falkirk
Hibernian 2 - 0 Inverness CT
Motherwell 0 - 1 Hearts

How Dundee United did not hammer Falkirk is beyond me, they were creating chance after chance yet just could not score that important goal. Klavenes, Hunt and De Vries were just three who had some glorious chances to score and Levein said in his post match interview that he had several players coming into the dressing room at full time cursing that they could have had two goals each at least. Commendable defending by the Bairns, although they will be disappointed with just how little they had the ball.

A good result there for Killie getting their act together finally, with Aberdeen continuing their wretched form. Motherwell with a surprising defeat at home and another result for Hibs.

Aberdeen 1 Motherwell 1

Motherwell struck a late equaliser against Aberdeen at Pittodrie to secure what could be a priceless point. Alexander Diamond's first half goal had The Dons leading for much of the match until Darren Smith's 83 minute effort secured a late share of the spoils.

Celtic 2 Inverness 1

Celtic maintained the pressure on leaders Rangers with a 2-1 success over Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Bhoys made the breakthrough on the stroke of half-time when Scott McDonald turned home Shunsuke Nakamura's floated free-kick. The game looked over on 61 minutes when Georgios Samaras superbly headed home Aiden McGeady's left-wing cross. However, the home side were made to sweat out the closing stages when Marius Niculae capitalised on a poor mistake by Scott Brown to pull one back for the visitors.

Dundee United 1 St Mirren 1

St Mirren, like Motherwell, needed a late goal away from home to secure a point on Wednesday. After a goalless first half Sean Dillon's 69th minute effort looked to have given The Tangerines the points. However, with just two minutes left on the clock Andy Dorman struck to give The Buddies a priceless point in the battle against the drop.

Falkirk 0 Hibernian 2

Hibernian's recent resurgence in form continued on Wednesday with a 2-0 win at Falkirk. The visitors were gifted the opener on 12 minutes when Jack Ross could only find the back of his own net. Any hopes of a comeback from the home side were extinguished shortly into the second half when John Rankin netted to settle the contest.

Gretna 4 Kilmarnock 2

Gretna's slim hopes of avoiding the drop have increased following a 4-2 win over fellow strugglers Kilmarnock. It was all Gretna in the opening 45 minutes with goals from Nicky Deverdics, Rhys Meynell and Craig Barr putting them three up at the break. Mickael Buscher added a fourth on the hour mark before Kilmarnock hit back. Simon Ford pulled one back with William Gibson's second restoring some pride, but it was all too little too late.

Hearts 0 Rangers 4

Rangers made it 10 wins out of 10 in the SPL with a resounding 4-0 success at Hearts. The visitors began in confident fashion and there was only going to be one result once Jean-Claude Darcheville volleyed home after a neat through ball by Barry Ferguson. Former Nottingham Forest man Darcheville added a crucial second on the stroke of half time with a close-range finish. Nacho Novo replaced Darcheville after the interval and he helped himself to a second half brace. He added Gers' third on 54 minutes after converting Charlie Adam's cross before adding his second with a cheeky back-heel on 70 minutes.

Far from convincing yet again from Celtic. Havn't see the game yet I know alot of Celtic fans arn't happy despite picking up our 8th consecutive league win. Can't beleive the Gers made it 10 in a row. Thought they would have choked. Great win for Gretna amid all the shananigans going on and Hibs picked up a crucial win with both United & Motherwell failing to collect all 3 points

Almost an ideal opportunity for Dundee United to make up ground, but dashed at the end along with Motherwell equalising.

Rangers are in storming form by the looks of things Shocked
