Facts And History About Dutch Football

Now there are a quite a few dutch users on the forum so how about you lot giving us some interesting facts, and also teach us a few things about the history of your countries football. I've not got a clue about it really (like everything else besides Everton Razz) but I'm getting rather interested in it for some reason. Wink


I could go google but that means effort Very Happy and I'd rather hear it from you guys who are from Holland, plus it livens up the forum a bit more. Wink

Actually... If you do a table of the English top flight league Everton are top of it... Wink

In the Eredivisie I think that would be Sparta Rotterdam, since 1888, then Vitesse, since 1892.. then Willem 2, since 1896..
after that NEC and Ajax, both since 1900..

You are right, I always thought that Willem II was the oldest club (1888)
