Man Utd had no luck in rounds before this i dont feel. Cmon they had premier legaue teams in every round. Thats unlucky in my opinion.

Pompey are the ones with luck on there side.

Saha didnt play so why he getting blame?

Because he injured himself AGAIN in the warm up. He's made 84 appearances in over 4 years, he's a liabilty.

He probably chipped his toenail this time...

Don't be so harsh on Saha. He may be a sick note, but it's not his fault. If it wasn't for injuries he'd be a superb player, so i really feel sorry for him and would never say something bad about him. Really, really unlucky player.

I'm past feeling sorry for him. I want him sold and I'm not alone, he's never there when you need him. It may not be his fault but it still happens and we don't need to be carrying him any longer. We don't owe him anything.

You don't owe him anything, but he doesn't deserve to be criticised for his injuries. It's not his fault. There is nothing at all he can do about it. He must be devastated most of the time, because it seems every month is another blow for him with another injury.

Poor lad.

It's fair enough wanting someone else instead of him, somone who is more reliable. But calling him sh*t because he is always injured isn't fair.

Good win for Potsmouth although didnt feel they deserved to win. People may say different but i dont think you can ever deserve to win when you focus that much on defence, i think they deserved a draw.

Man Utd played by far better and if anyone deserved to win it was them but some great last ditch defending kept pompey in it and they capitalized on a defensive mistake from two attacking players.

I blame that pathetic second choice keeper , he's hopeless. Sooner we get rid of him the better. With Ben now back hopefully his time will be up next season. To get sent off and concede a penalty Rolling Eyes

Granted we had enough chances and Popmey defended very well , agree with YoBBo a draw was fair.

I bet you anything in the semi's they get a lower division side

Well its for sure a penalty, because its a foul in the box.

I think its a red card also because he has denied Baros a clear goal scoring opportunity.

I doubt Baros would of missed a chance on goal from 5 yards out with only Rooney standing on the line and there would of been no man pressure on him.

Anderson and Rooney made mistakes. Anderson let Krankjar get the ball, and Rooney came over towards Krankjar instead of going over to cover Baros.

but yobbo.. i think tomasz hardly made contact to baros.. he just tripped over and made it as if he'd been grabbed.. but then i might sound biased as it's my team.. T.T

we're way too focusing on the attacking form and it's a bloody mistake we needed to pay.. T.T

van der sars out, others got a 3 match ban.

i thought foster is injured as well.

makes me kinda smug as we have the german number 1 and the polish 2nd choice on the bench

OK Rolling Eyes

You cannot blame a keeper in that situation, the only people you can blame are Rooney, Anderson and whoevers idea it was to leave them two as the defenders.

I cannot stand this keeper so from my point of you he's at fault. Yes I'm being biased but it's happen twice now when he's been in goal. Last time he was lucky and saved the pen.

He may go out on loan to get match fit as quite a few championship clubs have come in for him. Fergie is thinking about it , there's a meeting this week.

Well hes surely not going to go anywhere until Van Der Sar or that other keeper are back, otherwise whos going to play in goals for your next couple of games. O'Shea or Ferdinand Wink

I know i very much doubt crazy jens is the German no.1. If he is that is hilarious. Even Wales have a better 1st choice. Laughing

Lehmann is the Germany number 1. He's a very, very good goal keeper. Just a bit of a nutta.

How long is VDS out for?

So you're going to sit here and tell me that luck was on your side? I could care less who you guys got drawn with regardless if it's a Championship side or a Premiership side. It's irrelevant. You guys were unlucky all game hence the "luck ran out statement". Portsmouth had all the luck in this game, and it was quite evident. Clearing the ball off the line on a few occasions, Man United's shots hitting the woodwork and so on. If luck was on your side, at least one of those would have gone in. Wink

that had to be one of the worst refereeing displays professional football has ever seen, firstly he doesnt give a blatant penalty then he sends kuszczak off when it was obvious that he was not the last man. the referee should be banned for life. AWFUL!! AWFUL!! AWFUL!!

p.s im not a Man Utd fan ( i actually probably like pompey more than united) i just dont like to see teams lose because of incompetent referees.

What are you talking about? You said that United's luck finally ran out, obviously insinuating that we've been lucky on this cup run.... You certainly weren't talking about the match individually because as you say we had no luck at all, so there was none to "run out".

So it looks like you're tripping over yourself a bit there.... Unless you just have no grasp of the meaning of your statement and the context in which it should be used.... Maybe it's just a bit of both.

Quarter Final - Manchester United v Portsmouth - 12:45pm
