Wow what a day,the whole town was buzzing before the game and now it's buzzing even more Very Happy
What makes it more satisfying is that we came up against some Chelsea fans on the train coming from Leeds, all we could hear was ''Chelsea'' ''Chelsea'' and that stupid thick southern accent taking the pish out of us northerners,oh how i loved seeing those sad faces of the Chelsea fans..

Barnsley can be proud of what they have achieved so far,to beat 2 of europes best teams is an outstanding achievement, they won't fear whoever they get in the semi final now.

Come on you TYKES................ Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

that game against Olympiacos really softened up the Chelsea players, it seems

they thought this would have been a walk in the park too

Well that was what he did at Barca apparently. He is a motivator. That's why i thought he was brought in to Chelsea.

Someone should shackle your brutal tongue, Conner. It's a dangerous weapon.

Can't for the life of me see why the BBC opted for Chelsea/Barnsley over Manchester United/Portsmouth though (assuming they did just that); there's no way in hell that there's going to be another upset. They're laughably naive and delusional to think there's any chance of Chelsea losing or even drawing... They're the masters of grinding out wins, regardless of being flashy or not. The Tykes don't stand a bloody chance.

3-0 to Chelsea.

How i am left to eat my words. Laughing The most memorable FA Cup match in my lifetime!

Absolutely tremendous performance from Barnsley - they were sharp, fearless and adventurous, taking the game to Chelsea with a real belief that they could beat them. And they should have gone in front in the first half. They looked like a Premier League side with some of the stuff they were putting together, which shows what a bit of confidence and enthusiasm can do.

Unlike their first giantkilling against Liverpool, they fully deserved to win this match. They were barely troubled at the back and easily had the best of the chances going forward. And to do it with the added pressure of having already beaten one huge side, meaning huge expectations on them... Amazing.

Now, can they win the FA Cup trophy? Playing like that, they easily can.

Well done Barnsley, absolutely brilliant.

I think its great all the glory glory big boys are out, and with Spurs winning the Carling Cup it is now down to Everton to complete the hatrick and well and truly smash the 'Big 4' monopoly!

Skysports stats says Chelsea had only 2 shots on target Exclamation that's very poor over 90 minutes against a smaller team.

Absolutely bloody fantastic to see the last remaining top four side knocked out, really interesting and a relief that another team will finally lift the trophy. Barnsley were heroic, dogged, determined and were good for their win. Hassel, Campbell Ryce, Steele, Foster, Odejayi were all superb.

Congratulations to Barnsley on another superb result.

Only in the Cup eh? Haha.

And i have a sneaky suspicion they won't get anywhere near as much flack as Liverpool/Benitez did, who battered them for near-on 90 minutes.

Excellent match this was. Barnsley played brilliant, they efended magnificently, weren't afraid to have a go at Chelsea. I'm glad they won and a very deserved victory is was for them, I do say.

I was impressed with a quite a few of their players - Kayode Odejayi big strong guy, I can't believe it was his first goal in 29 games. Jamal Campbell-Ryce - Good midfield player. Isn't afraid to take guys on. Souza in defence was good.

WOW what a great result for Barnsley. I think they had most of England behind them for this match and its a great result for football combined with the Man U loss.

This is going to be one of the most interesting FA Cup final series in a long time.

i've been very puzzling for the past couple of weeks @.@

Liverpool fans are creating threads for Chelsea matches.. and Newcastle fans are creating threads for Liverpool discussions -.-?!

lol.. anyway.. barnsley must have been very highly spirited since they beat Liverpool.. so chelski needs to be aware of them.. especially if chelski never play against them in the premiere league.. so maybe grant has no idea how they're normally playing..

i'd love to see a shocking result.. although some people fancy my team to meet chelski in the final.. lol..

I created this for Barnsley not Chelsea Laughing

nice excuse.. bleh.. lol..

I'm from Barnsley so it aint an excuse,it's the truth lol

I am from Barnsley too Laughing Laughing
I don't blame you. Since Liverpool doesn't give you anything to celebrate, so better jump in the band wagon. By the way, do they have cute players or managers? Razz
Anyway, I am happy because Chelsea is out. Serves Roman right to fire the sexy Mourinho.

an absolute shocker!
Wright phillips and joe cole were garbage, anelka didn't help either. There should be heavy ramifications behind this result.Cole and wright philli[s should have to fight for the right to play for Chelsea again after that performance.malouda wasn't great but at least he could string a couple of passes together and that was the only way Chelsea was going to get anything. But yet again malouda is taken off when cole and wright phillips stunk up the whole ground.I don't understand it and now avram's honeymoon is over. The players willloose confidence in him and the whole team will start unravelling in the coming months.
Chelsea needed this win more than most will understand, because it's a building block for the future and now iwith the result the opposite will happen.
I still can't believe this.Major error by cuda in goal, but as soon as biletti ran off of the man making the cross i knew it was bad even before the ball left his foot.
I guess this is why the fa cup is the best tournament outside of the Champions League and i can only be happy for Barnsley who worked incredibly hard to maintain this result, all the best to you.
I'm going to cry myself to sleep now.
