Has someone re-arranged the letters on your keyboard again?
Good to see your league getting represented. I don't really support anyone in this league but care of Glentoran I know just about everything I need to with his team. |

Not a fan of the league. Live in the north but don't follow much Irish football. Like to see Stute & Limavady do well as I know a few of the players

I should be a Cliftonville fan, as I live around the corner from their "ground" (more like a grassy barn).
But it's not professional and it's a poor quality. Also, I've experienced so much sectarianism with this amateur nonsense and it's dire. I prefer watching the youngsters up at Mallusk on a Saturday morning. Although, it's football and I credit the fans and people who keep it going. |

Pity you feel that way....Cliftonville have their best team in many years..and actually play good football. All cLubs have worked hard and you will find that although a small inority of all Clubs fans are Sectarian the problem has been alost irradicated. An awful lot of football fans in Northern Irelans criticise the irish League and yet many of them have never been to a game...prefer watching games on TV. Wish they would all just give it a go...try a game...increacse revenue so that Clubs do not have to seel their best players to lower League Clubs in Scotland or england and thus raise the standard |

Same as that with our league, people just cant be bothered going to games because they prefer supporting English teams. Harps support increased a lot last season but considering the size of the county we still get very small attendances.
As for the North, I dont really follow the league, keep an eye on Institute as theyre basically out feeder club and I follow the Setanta Cup but thats basically it. I watched a couple of games on Sky recently between Cliffs & Linfield and they were decent enough |

Yeah, well I love football and I wish I could enjoy the atmosphere of a proper competitive game. However, I don't get that with Cliftonville and I hate the entire scene around it. I can't enjoy the "semi-professional" level at all and from past experiences I cannot give my support to them. The closest professional Club to me is Tranmere Rovers and I'd show more interest in that Club. Maybe things have changed, but I've already made my mind up about that. Ignorant? Perhaps. But I have actually begun to enjoy Rugby and go support the Ulster Rugby team just for the love of sport and to experience a good atmosphere. Perhaps if Cliftonville were at a professional level and the 'scene' was healthy, I'd give my support to them and go and enjoy the games. In fact, I wish that were the case. But I guess I've come to see it differently over the years and nipped it in the bud from a very young age. I do often look out for their League position and often have a laugh at the highlights on UTV. |

Bit of a double edges sword really...people wont go because they say the League isn't Porfessional enough....and yet we can't become more professional because people won't come to games ans increase our income I spoke at a few people in England and Scotland who watched the Cliftonville v Linfield and Glentoran v Linfield games live on Sky this Season and were quite impressed with the standard of football and the atmosphere. I like the Ulster Rugby side too..but why not give a Cliftonville game a go mate?...the Reds (don't mind admitting) play very attractive football. |

I actually keep a wee eye on the Eircom since the introduction of the Setanta Cup...was impressed with Drogheda last Season. Institute are a smashing wee CLub....very friendly people and very passionate about their football. Like yourself, it's frustrating that many people say they wont go to games because they support Man U, Liverpool etc. I support Liverpool myself....but might go once a year (usually if the Glens have no game)...but these people criticise our football and yet most have never been to a game.... |

Id imagine teams like Linfield would have the resources to go professional. Considering teams like Galway and Sligo are pro and harps are going pro this year Id imagine the top teams in the North would be able to give it a go. With coverage on Sky now, there should be increased revenue from sponsorship & TV money and I reckon it'd be worth a go if its at all possible.

Having lived in Northern Ireland for three years from 2003 - 2006, i used to play for Limavady Youths. I attended the High School there also. I thouroughly enjoyed my time there, and the standard of football is underestimated.
We finished 6th in the league, beating Coleraine Youths twice, 1-2 & 1-0, me getting the only goal in the home fixture. If your wondering what i was doing out there, my step-dad is in the British Army. = |

You stole him from us! He was ready to sign for Harps then he heard Hibs were after him and all of a sudden changed his mind. I remember not thinking much of it when we were about to sign him then a week later he went and scored a hat trick against Rangers! Sickening..

Didn't rate Sproule when he played for Stute and was shocked when Hibs signed him. Pace in abundance made him look better than he actually was
