Forgot about that.

That's good news for us then. Although Gilberto will probably start with Cesc pushed out to a wider role.

It's probably been too comfortable for us first half here. Wigan haven't really threatened at all and neither have they gotten into us so to speak. We've knocked it around neatly and created some half decent chances. Adebayor, Bendtner and Cesc have all had good efforts.

We need to come out of first gear soon after half-time and bag a few goals before Wigan start taking advantage of the scoreline.

Bendtner has been good and Senderos has been brilliant at the back. So there's no real problems with the performance. Gilberto needs to stick to what he knows best and leave the forward play to Cesc and Flamini.

It was a good result for us in the end.

We were off the boil and Wigan were superb second half. We were perhaps a bit complacent and too relaxed at times. The pitch was atrocious and Rob Styles was his usual self, but Wenger won't be happy with how we played.

Anybody could have won it near the end. Cesc should have scored on a couple of occasions in the last 15mins.

Gilberto though, what a shadow of the player of last season. The amount of times we've performed poorly with him in our Midfield this season is no coincidence. The cup exits, the Boro loss, the Sevilla loss and a few other poor performances here & there. He needs to go and I hope Wenger learns that reshuffling that Cesc & Flamini partnership is a mistake.

On the bright side, we maintain our unbeaten run and only Boro have beaten us this season which is fantastic. This time last season we were battling for fourth and now despite dropping points to Wigan we have increased our lead at the top of the League.

I expect Man Utd to take advantage and go top, but I'm not unhappy about that.

Great to see van Persie back in full stride. His addition to the team for the latter stages of both competitions will benefit us huuuugely. Great to see Touré return also.

Such a boring game. I never thought much of all the talk about the pitch, but wow, had to be one of the worst pitches I've ever seen. Don't know how anyone can play proper football on it.

In the end, no new injuries (which is amazing with the condition of the pitch), and at least we left with a point. But the advantage over Man United is gone.

It's not gone yet. Man Utd have to win their game in hand.

It's a bit sad that I've had to rely on other results to make my footballing weekend feel a bit better, but oh it feels so damn good.

Thanks Brucie!!

I don't understand Arsenal fans on here saying they're not unhappy.

To wit: they go up 5 pts a couple weeks ago, with brum and villa at home and wigan away. Should've been an easy 9 pts. And they get 3. 3! Now MU is going to take the title and wenger wont win anything once again because he was too stubborn to make any signings that would strengthen the squad. I just dont' understand why he gets the genius level when he doesnt do things the average fan on the street knows he should do.

Man United have the match in hand and only 2 points back. Advantage United in my eyes. The ball is in their possession, it's up to them to capitalize on it. (hoping they don't obviously)

We played poorly, yet remained unbeaten and got a very important point that sees us 2 points clear. The pitch was terrible and we had players missing with a reshuffle of the Midfield and a Striker partnership that has yet to ever work, nevermind their relationship.

I'm happy enough with the point.

This time last season we were battling to keep 4th. Now we're the hardest team to beat in the League, sit top and just introduced back two of our 3 best players in the squad for the late run in.
