He will strengthen the midfield up a bit but he will never keep up with the pace

Well Real Madrid do tend too throw away money so in that respect im sure they would pay his high wage demand.

Raul, Keane isn't that young anymore. He will be good only for 1 or 2 seasons.
BJ can rest his case. The president always go for big names.

Raul, it's all about what some of us have been posting for a long time now....Florentino has no clue, he is the problem! Keane has a name, should put a few more people in the seats and Real will get some press.....I find it laughable but at the same time I 'm amazed that Real fans aren't after Florentino... Makes you wonder if they aren't of the same mindset as him...... Question

That should offend me Rolling Eyes
We don't like him so much, but we can't remember all the tittles he has achieved for has, it wouldn't be fair. And it seems that Real Madrid is thinking twice before signing Keane.

I think Keane would do more than put a few bums in seats and sign shirts.

Providing he stays fit and gets some continuity in the team he will provide a rock in the middle of the field that will be great for the team.

Raul, what I wrote wasn't meant to offend you, I'm having a problem understanding what you are actually saying here, sorry.....If you were offended, I apologize...

And I feel Real needs to start buying players that are a bit younger, less injury prone than Keane. Sorry, I don't not see him as being as big a help as some do, this money could be spent more wisely and it's nothing more than another typical Florentino buy.......

Keane no doubt is still a top class player - but I tend to agree with Oranje. He would only be a short term fix - maybe it is a smart move to go for him now, and then invest in someone younger in the summer, however I still dont see it being a clever move. I love Keano to bits, and think United will miss him, so I am not doubting that he could do a job in Spain, because he can - but Real need to build for the future, and they need to start now!

Well, we all agree that Real needs a holding midfielder - but the sad thing is, there aren't that many players who are good in that trade and those who are will probably stay with their clubs. Real can't forget about Makelele. There's no way Mourinho will allow that - not until he grooms Lassana Diarra to be like him anyway.

If anything, Real should try the holdig midfielders from the French League. The likes of Emerson, Vieira, Makelele, Gattuso probably wouldn't leave their clubs. Zokoro of St Etienne seems to be hot property and Essien's former partener Mohamadou Diarra of Lyon also looks like a good buy.

Who should Real Madrid sign in January?
